‘Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life’ Spoilers: Which Character Might Be Pregnant In The Netflix Redux?

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is almost here, and some sharp-eyed fans may have already found one of the biggest spoilers — that Rory Gilmore appears to be pregnant with Logan’s baby.

The show’s revival will launch at midnight on Black Friday, but the speculation about what has happened in the nearly one decade since fans last saw the mother-and-daughter duo has been running rampant for months.

The prevailing fan theory about Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is that someone is pregnant — but whether it’s Lorelai or Rory remains to be seen. Us Weekly analyzed the official trailer for the show’s revival, finding several clues suggesting that Rory might be the one who’s pregnant. One of those hints is a shot of some fruit at the Gilmore abode (fans might remember that Lorelai previously professed that she only craved fruit when she was pregnant, and they speculate that this trait was transferred to her daughter).

There is another apparent clue hidden in an Instagram promo, Us Weekly noted.

“The internet has also used its Spidey senses to find the stroller shown in the reflection of this compact mirror in this Instagram promo. Sneaky and suspect. (Sure, not everyone is convinced that it’s actually a stroller, but if you give Gilmore fans an inch, they’ll take a mile.)”

And the biggest potential spoiler for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life pointing toward a Rory pregnancy comes from her grandmother, Emily.

At a famous Gilmore family dinner scene, Emily appears to ask Rory, “What bathroom will you use to throw up in?”

Fans believe that may be a strong hint that Rory is suffering morning sickness.

If Rory is indeed pregnant in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, it’s not exactly clear who the baby’s father would be. The trailer showed cameos for each of her three major boyfriends — Dean, Jess, and Logan — and there could also be a new man in her life.

But Seventeen magazine believes a trip Rory is taking to London reveals that Logan is her unborn baby’s father.

“The Logan link comes from the fact that some filming for the reboot took place in London, England, where Logan works (as was previously revealed in an interview with the costume designer).

“So why would Rory visit London, England where Logan works? Bustle’s Amy Mackelden theorizes that it’s because she’s married or dating Logan and is in England because of the impending birth of their child.”

And Alexis Bledel may have revealed a potential spoiler for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actress who played Rory for seven seasons discussed the controversial and somewhat out-of-character plot line where she slept with a then-married Dean in Season 4.

Bledel said she didn’t fully agree with the decision to move Rory into an adultery plot line, but noted that show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino likes to throw in some big plot twists.

“Over the years, I was definitely surprised by certain plot twists,” Bledel said. “That was one of the things that surprised me. I didn’t think that it was something that made a lot of sense for my character. [Amy] likes a little bit of a shock value, so it was something that I had to wrap my head around.”

While the potential of a Rory pregnancy in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life wouldn’t register as that big of a plot twist given that Rory would be 32-years-old, it’s still likely that the rebooted show will contain at least a few big surprises.

Fans who want to find out if the Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life spoilers come true and if Rory is indeed pregnant will only have a little longer to wait. The show is set to make its triumphant return on Friday, November 25 on Netflix.
