‘Sister Wives’ Rumors: Is Maddie Brown Pregnant By A Relative?
The good news about the latest Sister Wives rumors: Maddie Brown is pregnant. The bad news: it’s by a relative!
According to the latest Sister Wives rumors put out by Radar Online, Maddie Brown is pregnant by her husband of just over five months, Caleb Brush. Radar also pointed out that Maddie and Caleb are, indeed, related to one another.
Here’s how it happened. Kody’s brother, Curtis, married Erica Brush and had a family. Kody’s brother, unfortunately, was killed after a devastating motorcycle crash in 2013. Erica’s brother, Caleb, is Maddie’s husband, and Maddie is, of course, Kody’s 21-year-old daughter with Janelle Brown.
Put simply – Caleb is Maddie’s uncle by marriage, though they are not related by blood.
It seems that this relationship caused a bit of controversy when it was first announced by the couple, which prompted Caleb to release a “live and let live” statement at the time.
“We support Maddie’s family with their choice of living plural marriage and they support us with our choice in just marrying each other.”
The couple, who announced their pregnancy on Instagram yesterday, also pointed out that they would not be welcoming other wives into their marriage.
Meanwhile, the latest Sister Wives rumors released by Daily Mail showed that Maddie was, indeed, happy about the news of the impending arrival. Maddie, who is due in May, told the outlet that while she was nervous about the actual pregnancy process, she was also excited at the prospect of becoming a mother for the first time.
“We are both really excited and anxious. I think every soon-to-be parent is anxious, but we have so much support from both sides of our family.”
It should be interesting to see what the new arrival will be calling her grandmothers, though, because she has four of them to choose from. She has Jenelle, who is her grandmother by blood; she has Robyn, who is the grandmother that is legally married to her blood grandfather, Kody; and she has Meri and Christine, who are her grandfather’s other two wives.
Maddie doesn’t see this as a challenge for the baby. Rather, she sees this as a further opportunity for bonding.
“We think it would be super cute to have different names for all the grandmas, like oma, grams or babicka. Grandma said differently or in different languages. Ultimately they get to choose what they are called.”

Jenelle, of course, was thrilled about her impending grandmother-hood, and she was the first to announce it on her Twitter page.

And even though we’re sure that Grandpa Kody and all four of the baby’s Grandmas will spoil her, the latest Sister Wives rumors from People Magazine suggest that Maddie will be a bit of a disciplinarian. Maddie told the outlet that her seemingly gruff husband tends to have a tender heart for the baby, so someone has to lay down the proverbial law.
“I think I’ll be the disciplinarian parent just because Caleb already has such a soft spot for the baby. He already has has so much love for the baby.”
Caleb agreed with Maddie’s assessment, and pointed out that he was the “pushover” and that the child already has him “wrapped around its finger.”
