Eva Longoria Split: Actress Breaks Up With Jets Quarterback Mark Sanchez

Eva Longoria has split from New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez after a few months of dating, reportedly leaving the relationship on good terms.

As E! News reported, sources close to the Desperate Housewives actress said that the couple split up but are still friends.

“Eva and Mark split amicably and remain friends,” a source tells us. “There is no drama.”

Us Weekly noted that the Eva Longoria split came down to differing schedules.

“Mark adores and respects Eva,” Sanchez’s rep said. “It really was about scheduling more than anything else. They will remain close friends.”

The Eva Longoria split from Mark Sanchez comes just a few weeks after she finally confirmed that she was dating the quarterback. After being spotted out together in New York City many times throughout the summer, the couple remained tight-lipped as to the nature of their relationship.

Mark Sanchez has a reputation as a ladies man — having dated stars including Hayden Panettiere, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, and 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl Kate Upton — but, as the summer drew on, he spent more and more time with Eva Longoria. She finally confirmed to Mario Lopez that they were in fact dating, though not too willingly.

“You’re an a–hole,” Longoria joked to the Extra host when he asked if she was dating Mark Sanchez. “No, Mark and I are, you know, fine,” she quickly added. “We’re happy just dating.”

The dating confirmation didn’t come until September, meaning the couple was only public a few weeks before Eva Longoria split from Mark Sanchez. Their relationship picked up after Longoria had broken up with Eduardo Cruz in June.
