‘WWE Monday Night Raw’ Results — Goldberg Enters ‘Royal Rumble’ Match After Beating Brock Lesnar At ‘Survivor Series’

After WWE Survivor Series 2016 ended with so many surprises on Sunday night — including Goldberg defeating Brock Lesnar in under 90 seconds — there was plenty of fallout on this week’s Monday Night Raw. Goldberg addressed the WWE Universe about his future plans, which will seemingly begin at WWE Royal Rumble 2017. Cesaro and Sheamus challenged The New Day for the Raw Tag Team Championship, while Seth Rollins challenged Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship in a No Disqualification Match.

WWE Monday Night Raw Results

The following includes the results of all the matches and segments from WWE Raw on November 21, which aired live from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, the third event in a row following NXT TakeOver: Toronto and Survivor Series. Raw has won the “ratings war” ever since the separate rosters were established, although SmackDown Live was incredibly close last week. Will another appearance from Goldberg — and the rest of the fallout from Survivor Series — be enough to keep the ratings victory streak alive for Raw?

Raw Pre-Show on the WWE Network

Scott Stanford hosted the Raw Pre-Show, and was joined by Lita, Booker T and Jerry “The King” Lawler in the studio. Cathy Kelley provided an update regarding the WWE Universe and all things social media. Mick Foley joined the panel via Skype to give his thoughts on the results of Survivor Series and the tag title match scheduled for Monday Night Raw featuring The New Day vs. Cesaro and Sheamus. They also showed a pre-taped segment teasing a love interest between Alicia Fox and cruiserweight superstar Cedric Alexander.

Brock Lesnar announced his entry in the Royal Rumble Match

Greeted favorably by the live crowd in Toronto, Goldberg thanked his wife and son for their support while training for his match against Brock Lesnar. He then announced that he talked with Stephanie McMahon about one more title run. To be given that chance, he’ll be competing in this year’s battle royal at the Royal Rumble PPV.

The New Day defeated Cesaro and Sheamus

Showing exactly why they are in the midst of an historic title reign, The New Day (as represented in the ring by Kofi Kingston and Big E) were able to escape their match with the tag titles, thanks in part to a ringside distraction from Xavier Woods.

Enzo Amore was “naked” in front of Lana backstage — Sami Zayn received his match assignment

Locked out of the dressing room he shares with Big Cass, Enzo was stuck in the backstage area without any clothing. After crossing paths with the “Ravishing Russian” Lana, a match was set up between Enzo Amore and Rusev for later in the show. In another backstage segment, Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and General Manager Mick Foley told Sami Zayn he would be forced to compete in a match against Braun Strowman later in the show, after failing to win the IC title from The Miz of SmackDown Live.

Cedric Alexander defeated Ariya Daivari

In a match set up to help promote the upcoming premiere of 205 Live on the WWE Network, Cedric Alexander scored a clean victory over Daivari. It was also announced that there would be a Triple Threat Match later on Raw to determine the new No. 1 contender for The Brian Kendrick’s WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

Mick Foley announced Universal Championship Match after The Highlight Reel

Chris Jericho hosted an edition of The Highlight Reel in which he said he would reveal the person to blame for his team losing their Elimination Match at Survivor Series. When Universal Champion Kevin Owens came to the ring, they acted as if they blamed each other for the loss. It was all a work, however, as they both claimed the whole thing could really be blamed on Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.

When Rollins made his way to the ring, he informed Owens that he was owed a title shot after he agreed to team with Jeri-KO and the others at Survivor Series. As Jericho and Owens attacked Rollins, he was saved by Reigns, who the crowd in Toronto booed louder than anyone else at Survivor Series or at Monday Night Raw. General Manager Foley came out and said that Rollins would get his title shot in a No Disqualification Match against Owens on WWE Raw tonight, with both Jericho and Reigns banned from ringside.

Rusev defeated Enzo Amore

The Bulgarian Brute made very quick work of Enzo, all while playing head games with Colin Cassady. It would appear as though Rusev is receiving a little bit of a push, and will work through both Enzo and Big Cass en route to whatever end goal WWE’s creative team currently has in mind.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson defeated The Golden Truth to earn a Raw Tag Team Championship Match

With just 23 days until The New Day surpasses Demolition as the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in WWE history, it looks as though Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods will be forced to defend their titles regularly. In a match to determine the No. 1 contenders for next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Gallows and Anderson got a decisive victory over Goldust and R-Truth, meaning they’ll get another shot at The New Day in one week.

Charlotte Flair agreed to title match next week for Sasha Banks

As Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair was cutting a promo in the ring, she was interrupted by Sasha Banks. The Boss claimed that Flair still owed her a rematch from Hell in a Cell. Flair agreed to grant Sasha a rematch in Charlotte, North Carolina on Monday Night Raw next week. Moments later, Nia Jax made her way to the ring, saying that she had taken issue with Sasha. Rich Swann defeated AJ Perkins and Noam Dar to become the No. 1 contender

When 205 Live debuts next week on the WWE Network, Cruiserweight Champion The Brian Kendrick will defend his title against Rich Swann. The new No. 1 contender has pinned Kendrick on several occasions in the not-so-distance past, and a big win over Noam Dar and former champion AJ Perkins is a huge boost of momentum headed into the series premiere.

Kevin Owens defeated Seth Rollins with help from Chris Jericho

Despite specifically being banned from ringside for this match-up with a No DQ stipulation, Y2J managed to get involved by wearing a mask and posing as a member of the audience. With Rollins looking like he had things in control, Chris Jericho did just enough damage to set The Architect up for a devastating Powerbomb from the champ. With WWE Roadblock: End of the Line less than a month a way, it will be interesting to see who challenges Owens for the title and what sort of stipulations might be involved.

The above WWE Raw results will be corroborated by WWE’s official Monday Night Raw page.
