‘This Is Us’ Spoilers: What ‘Heavy’ Secrets Will Be Revealed?

NBC’s hit show This is Us draws in new viewers each week with its tales of the multi-generational, blended Pearson family. And now, as the latest This is Us spoilers are revealed in preparation for tomorrow’s all new, holiday based episode, Mandy Moore — who plays Rebecca Pearson on the show — promises that more “heavy” secrets will be revealed.

According to the latest TV Guide blog, the latest This is Us spoilers suggest that Randall (Sterling K. Brown) will find out the truth about the secrets his mother, Rebecca, has been hiding from him for all of these years, including the truth about knowing his biological father.

Meanwhile, too, Kate (Chrissy Metz) has to ask herself some serious questions about her weight loss journey — including, and most especially, whether she will continue doing it. When she comes to a decision — which, of course, will be made at Thanksgiving — there’s a chance that she won’t be receiving her family’s support. Considering how much Kate relies on the approval of her brother, Kevin (Justin Hartley), will this decision drive a permanent wedge between him and her?

We may be getting a hint of what’s to come for Kate, however, thanks to the latest This is Us spoilers released by Entertainment Weekly. The outlet recently spoke to Chrissy Metz about her “in real life” weight loss journey, and she exclusively revealed that losing weight was included as part of her contract with the show. Metz further defended her decision to go on a weight loss journey by saying that the focus was to be on her health, not on whether she wanted to fit in with a Hollywood beauty ideal.

She said the following.

“Whether or not I lose weight or stay the same, it’s purely a choice of mine for health. Not because I think that plus-size, curvy, voluptuous, big bodies aren’t attractive — because I think they’re awesome and sexy…. So I’ll just have to make sure that’s known, because I’m not selling out the big girls. I don’t do that. That’s not me.”

And while neither the publicist for NBC nor the publicist for the show had an official comment about the stipulations in Chrissy’s contract, it should be interesting to see how this story plays out for the cameras in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, the latest This is Us spoilers revealed by Variety suggest that Jack will soon be meeting his fate, though the details on how he died remain mired in mystery. Though Milo Ventimiglia — the actor who plays Jack — suggested that it was very easy for any one of the actors to meet with Dan Fogelman, the creator of the show, to discuss the proper direction to take with the characters, he still wasn’t sure when the end will be met (or so he says!) for his beloved Jack.

Milo said the following.

“‘Be a good father’ and ‘Be a good husband.’ It’s almost as simple as that for Jack. It’s the closest character to my heart in terms of what I know by way of my own father.”
