Kristen Stewart On ‘Twilight’ Reboot

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson made their careers successful after the release of the last part in the Twilight saga but fans still wish to see them back together in a film.

Over the past few weeks, there have been several reports addressing the prospect of a new Twilight-related movie. The speculations emerged when Lionsgate Motion Picture Group’s co-chairman, Patrick Wachberger, talked about the movie’s future and how it solely depends on the book’s author Stephenie Meyer.

“It’s about Stephenie. If she wants to tell a story related to those characters we’re here for her.”

But Meyer has already given her thoughts on this in one of her earlier talks with Variety.

Meyer stated that she would only consider returning to the world of Twilight saga only when Edward Cullen (played by Pattinson in the film), Jacob Black (played by Taylor Lautner) and Bella Swan Cullen (played by Stewart) will die. The famous writer also added that in future, she would like to focus on different stories.

“Three paragraphs on my blog saying which of the characters died. I’m interested in spending time in other worlds, like Middle-earth. I get further away [from Twilight] every day,” added Meyer. “For me, it’s not a happy place to be.”

Kristen Stewart On Twilight Reboot:

Kristen Stewart seems to be open to all the ideas and the possibilities of rebooting the saga. Kristen, who recently started dating St. Vincent, stated during one of her interviews that as an actress, she has no problem with the possibility of any future projects.

“Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time. It’s hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it. But that doesn’t mean I want to keep doing it. But if other people wanted to? Yeah, sure. To be honest with you, I would be interested. I’d be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn’t emotionally affect me one way or the other.”

So it looks like if Kristen will get a good script in the future, then there is a possibility that fans will again get to see her in the avatar of Bella Swan.

Robert Pattinson’s View On Twilight’s Future:

Apart from Stewart’s return to the franchise, millions of fans want Pattinson to reprise his role again. A source close to Pattinson revealed to Hollywood Life that the star again wants to star in the world of Edward-Bella. According to an unknown insider, the Remember Me star has a failed career after the release of the final film in the Twilight saga, and there are chances that a possible reunion with his ex-girlfriend and in his favorite franchise would surely boost his acting career.

“Robert Pattinson] is more likely to come back if they make more Twilight films because he thinks it would re-spark his career, where Kristen [Stewart] wants to stay away from the franchise because she thinks of it as high school and she feels that she has graduated onto other opportunities that are more her right now. But if they pull up the Brinks truck to both of them they would highly consider it, because especially in Hollywood, money talks.”

Gossip Cop recently debunked these claims, so it looks like Hollywood Life’s claims are just speculations.

Even Pattinson personally thinks that he is done making Twilight movies and as an actor, he wishes not to portray such roles again in future.

During his earlier interview with Elle France, when he was asked about his take on Twilight’s future, FKA Twigs’ fiancé simply stated that he does not wish to be typecast as an actor.

“On the contrary, I think my name on a poster rallies my fan base. I hope to awake their curiosity and show them a different vision of cinema. Don’t forget that they grow up too. And they didn’t want to see all their lives Robert Pattinson playing a vampire. We tend to devalue the fans. It’s a mistake. The fan is an audience member like the others,” he further added.

There is no official confirmation on rebooting Twilight or the possibility of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s reunion. Although fans will be very excited if these speculations will materialize on celluloid in future.
