Kohl’s Black Friday 2016 Sale Is Live Online — What Are The Best Deals?

Black Friday 2016, which will take place on November 25, is now only four days away, and numerous retailers are already holding early sales. While most stores are referring to their events as “pre-Black Friday,” the official online Kohl’s Black Friday sale for 2016 kicked off at 12 a.m. CT on November 21. Most of the top doorbusters are not yet available, but it is possible to shop for Black Friday items today.

Many of the more exclusive doorbusters will be available at brick-and-mortar locations on Thanksgiving at 6 p.m. Unlike last year, the first-page doorbusters will also be available on Kohl’s website, so they can be expected on Thanksgiving as well.

Kohl’s already has one of the most competitive sales among the larger retailers, and they are providing an opportunity to save even more. From Nov. 21-25, simply enter coupon code “SAVING15” at checkout, and you will save an additional 15 percent on your order. This is especially valuable when Kohl’s has the same price on a certain item as another retailer. The 15 percent off can turn a good deal into a great deal in many circumstances. Select items may be excluded.

Earn $15 in Kohl’s Cash for Every $50 Spent

From Nov. 21-26, Kohl’s is giving away $15 in Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent at one of their brick-and-mortar locations or on their website. All Kohl’s Cash earned can be redeemed from Nov. 27 through Dec. 5. While Kohl’s Cash is not a direct discount, it is a valuable tool to increase your net discount.

For example, Kohl’s is selling PS4 Slim and Xbox One S bundles for $249.99, which is a discount of $50. Many other stores are running the same offer, so it is not a great deal by itself. Kohl’s is also including $75 in Kohl’s Cash with the deal, so the net price drops to $174.99. How valuable the Kohl’s Cash is will depend on the individual, but it is available for numerous items.

Orders $50 or More Will Ship For Free

While the Kohl’s Black Friday ad states that every order of $75 or more will ship for free, it appears as though they have lowered the minimum threshold to only $50. While this is still on the higher side, it is $25 less than expected. For comparison purposes, Walmart’s free shipping minimum is $50, while Amazon’s is $49. Target and Best Buy waived their free shipping minimums for the entire holiday season. Whether or not they keep the $50 threshold remains to be seen, but it is available now.

With most of the top doorbusters going live on Thanksgiving, it is essential to plan ahead. Here are a few of the most important items, and many of them will only have limited quantities at each store.
