Ohio Shooting: Three Dead In Lancaster


12:15 UPDATE – Officer Randy Bartow, 56, of Logan, has been identified as the third victim in the Ohio shooting. Bartow was a 19-year police department veteran. Law enforcement officers have not identified the identity of the shooter. During a 911 call made by victim Stephanie Adams, 38, reportedly could be heard shouting at Kevin Adams, 40, to stop pointing a gun.

10:30 am UPDATE – Neighbors and relatives have identified two of the dead as Stephanie and Kevin Adams. The third fatality was a police officer, his name has not yet been released. The Adams’ are believed to have once been married. Kevin allegedly arrived at the home in the late evening ours. The police officer was reportedly already inside the home.

Lancaster, OH – Three people were killed in a central Ohio shooting during the early morning hours on Tuesday. Preliminary reports note that two of the unnamed victims were men and the other a woman. A witness claims she heard screams coming from the home next door where the shooting allegedly occurred, WNCT News reports.

Police officers responded to the Cleveland Avenue area after a shots fired report was called in, the Lancaster Gazette notes. Law enforcement officers found a man and woman dead inside the home. A second man was transported to Fairfield Medical Center, where he later died from his gunshot wounds.

Both local law enforcement officers and members of the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation agency are still on scene and looking for evidence in the Lancaster shooting spree. Although a motive in the shooting is still unknown, the female shooting victim is believed to have been married to one of the men, according to 10TV News.
