Anyone who saw the first episode of The Legend Of The Blue Sea wouldn’t be surprised at Lee Min Ho’s kind words about Jun Ji Hyun. The two K-drama actors definitely have a lot of onscreen chemistry.
The chemistry between Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun is obviously helping. According to Soompi, Legend, was the most popular Korean drama, which premiered on November 16
Three K-dramas aired their first episode this week, The Legend Of The Blue Sea, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, and Oh My Geum Bi. But as Soompi reports, the Lee Min Ho drama was the clear winner in terms of popularity.
Soompi quotes Nielsen Korea, who said that Min Ho and Ji Hyun’s series got over 15 percent of the ratings on that night. Oh My Geum Bi took second place with almost 6 percent of the viewership. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo was in third place with just over 3 percent of the audience

According to Yibada, The Legend Of The Blue Sea is on track to garner 10 million viewers next week. This means that the show is on track to surpass the success of the Song Jong Ki and Song Hye Kyo (SongSong) drama, Descendants Of The Sun. As Yibada notes, during Descendants Of The Sun’s run on television, the series got viewers that were around the 2 million mark.
A lot of this success can be attributed to the fact that The Legend Of The Blue is Lee Min Ho’s first K-drama in many years. As Inquisitr previously reported, Lee Min Ho previously said in an interview that he was a bit nervous about his performance would be perceived.
“I’m nervous and excited to see how everyone will respond to it,” he said. “I get to act out two roles on ‘The Legend of the Blue Sea,’ including one as a conman and so I’ll be able to show many diverse sides to me. Please look forward to seeing them.”
