Gigi Hadid Says She’s Not The Best On The Catwalk, But Makes Up For It By Being The ‘Most Hardworking, Nicest Person’

Gigi Hadid is certainly a famous American fashion model today, but she’s also humble enough to admit that she doesn’t possess the magical charm of a typical supermodel. Despite being a brand ambassador for popular fashion companies like Maybelline, Penshoppe, and Tommy Hilfiger, the model agrees that she possibly doesn’t possess the flamboyance required to have a commanding presence on the runway.

The daughter of former model Yolanda Foster and sister of equally famous model Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid was expected to be confident and charming; however, W Magazine reported that Hadid has yet to achieve the confidence required to become a top catwalk model.

“But the runway thing, it’s funny because obviously, I’m not the best on the runway. But what do you do? When you’re the face of a brand you show up to the show.”

However, the model follows her mother’s advice and is attempting to improve herself, to grace the catwalk like a supermodel. She is painfully aware of the fact that she must raise her stature to such a level that fashion houses will depend on her, instead of her depending on them for survival. Hadid is also very aware that she needs to work hard to achieve her goal. According to W Magazine, the model spoke about her dedication, and how she hopes to successfully implement her mother’s advice.

“When you start working, you better be the most hardworking, nicest person in the room because if you’re not, then there’s always going to be someone prettier, nicer, and more hardworking.”

Gigi Hadid’s humble opinion of herself may surprise her fans because they’ve followed her journey to the top of the fashion world.

While she may not be a supermodel, she’s certainly one of the most popular celebrities on social media. Currently, the model has over four million followers on Instagram and the fashion houses she represents fully expect her to endorse their brands on social media. In short, Gigi Hadid has become a super-celebrity on social media platforms, if not a supermodel on the catwalk.

Nevertheless, she still wants to become an effective fashion model; a model who walks gracefully on the catwalk. According to MTV, Hadid admitted that she received no formal catwalk training, which is why she’s making such an effort to improve her modeling skills.

Gigi Hadid was exposed to modeling at the tender age of two-years-old, when she modeled as a baby for Guess kids, and today, Hadid continues to model for the global lifestyle magazine. Gigi Hadid was awarded Model of the Year in 2015 at the Daily Front Row Fashion Awards, and she’s also modeled for both V Magazine and Sports Illustrated magazines.

Recently, the model posed with boyfriend Zayn Malik for Vogue magazine.

The positive aspect of Gigi Hadid’s personality is her photogenic persona, which always steals the fashion show or photo shoot. In fact, marketers have found that her persona perfectly complements the fashion products and kits she wears during an advertising campaign. People magazine reports, though, that Hadid feels awkward when seeing her billboard advertisements.

“Now when I see myself on a billboard I can’t go near the block. I get hot sweats. So I ask my friends to send pictures to me because I can’t go anywhere near it.”

Recently, Hadid appeared in an interview for W Magazine and revealed another awkward moment she experienced while dating during her teenage years. According to The Sun, Hadid spoke about her discomfort when kissing her boyfriend during her teens.

“I was like 14 or 15, we both had braces… It was horrible and awkward. Lots of metal happening! I was happy to wait a while for our next kiss.”
