Brad Pitt Reportedly Heartbroken Over Angelina Split, Crushed By Custody Battle, Focusing On Health Of Kids Not Love Life
The split between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt was a shocking turn of events to all who were paying close attention to the ongoing rumors about their marital woes. The events that led to the final breakup, however, did not have to do with an affair between Brad and his co-star and did not have to do with the couple’s inability to see eye-to-eye about Angelina’s new direction in life. It had to do with Brad’s alleged treatment of his teenage son.
When Angelina announced she was filing for divorce from her partner of 12 years, she stunned fans and Pitt himself. Since Jolie’s statement, there has been an investigation based on alleged abuse by the Ocean’s 11 star, and although he has complied, he has reportedly been heartbroken by the split and the custody battle that is now ongoing.
A source told Hollywood Life about Pitt’s current state in the wake of the split and investigation.
“Brad has no desire to date or get involved in any new relationships. He is still stunned and heartbroken over his failed marriage, and feels like it’ll be a long time before he’s ready to love again.”
According to the publication, the sources claimed that Brad’s friends have been urging him to get out and date to try to get over the heartache he is experiencing. George Clooney, a friend and Pitt’s Ocean’s 11 co-star, reportedly begged Pitt to attend his Halloween party to take his mind off Jolie, but Brad declined the invitation. Although rumors had swirled that Brad Pitt was involved in a steamy affair with Allied co-star Marion Cotillard, the actress shot down these claims, noting that they are total fabrications.

The publication stated that Brad has more important things on his mind than mending a broken heart and moving on in his love life. The actor is focused on his children and mending his relationship with his son Maddox since he was cleared of child abuse charges.
“‘His main focus right now is finishing up his work obligations and figuring out how and when he can see his children,’ continues the source, noting that Brad needs keep making his kids a priority. The actor-turned-producer was cleared of child abuse allegations, which is a huge step forward in reconnecting with son Maddox.”
Another source, speaking to Bang Showbiz, stated that Brad feels totally crushed by his custody battle with his estranged wife over their six children. The Fight Club star is disappointed about not being able to see them as much as he likes, but he is being respectful of the process and is understanding that it is important to come to an agreement and “limit the fighting” between him and Angelina.
The source also stated, “He’s crushed and wants to limit” disagreements and arguments.”

“Brad has been deferential on what’s best for them and limits their stress. You don’t just immediately create a new world,” the source added.
It was recently confirmed by the Maleficent star that the former couple had signed an agreement that would allow her to retain primary custody of the children and Brad would be allowed to have supervised visits.
A rep shared the statement, “Angelina said from the beginning that she felt she had to take action for the health of the family and is relieved that after their 8-week involvement, the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services is now satisfied the safeguards are put in place that will allow the children to heal.”
When Angelina initially filed for divorce, the announcement was made that she was doing so for the health of her children.
