‘Destiny’: Xur’s Exotic Goods For Nov. 18, SUROS Regime And Impossible Machines

Destiny Titans seeking top tier equipment from Xur for the weekend of Friday, November 18, are likely in for some disappointment. Hunters have it a little better in the PS4 and Xbox One shooter while Warlocks likely get the best option. Meanwhile, the SUROS Regime returns yet again for veteran players to reminisce about when the Auto Rifle was dominant in Year One.

This week’s hiding spot for Xur is in the Reef social area, yet again. You’ll want to turn right from the spawn point, head down the stairs past the Bounty vendor, and then go in the first door to the right of the bottom of the stairs. The Agent of the Nine is tucked away in a corner on the right.

For those wondering what to get, here are a few helpful hints.

SUROS Regime

The SUROS Regime Auto Rifle was once the king of the Crucible until various weapon balance patches took it out. The recent 2.2 update gave the weapon a bit of a boost, along with other Auto Rifles.

The “SUROS Legacy” perk gives the weapon extra damage dealing for the bottom half of the magazine with a chance to return health on each kill. Meanwhile, the Year Two version of the Auto Rifle gives a choice between “Focused Fire” to make the weapon fire slower, but do more damage while aimed and “Spinning Up” to make it shoot faster the longer it is fired.

Eternal Warrior

The Eternal Warrior helmet will not only give your Titan a statuesque look, but it frees up one of the Striker perk columns. The main draw on this Exotic piece is the “Resolute” perk, which provides “Unstoppable” for Fist of Havoc. This allows Striker Titans to go with “Shoulder Charge” or “Juggernaut” instead. While this is primarily a PVP perk, its other two perks are geared towards PVE. “Inverse Perk” gives more Super energy from minion kills and “Heavy Lifting” does the same, but only from killing minions with Heavy Weapons. Meanwhile, the final column perk of “Innervation” grants bonus grenade energy when picking up Orbs of Light.

The 102 max Intellect stat roll is four points from the max. However, Strikers in Destiny have better Exotic helmets. Only pick up the Eternal Warrior to complete a collection.

Knucklehead Radar

The “Sensor Pack” perk for Knucklehead Radar is still the main draw since it keeps the radar up while aiming down the sights of a primary weapon. This is most useful in PVP to keep up awareness of enemies, while use in PVE is limited to the most hectic encounters. The other set perk is “Infusion” to replenish health when picking up Orbs of Light.

The optional perk gives a choice between “Inverse Shadow” to gain increased Super energy from killing minions in PVE and “Ashes to Assets” to gain bonus Super energy from grenade kills on minions. The third column perk is “Infusion” to replenish health by picking up Orbs of Light.

The 64 Discipline stat roll is near perfect for this piece and the perk options are excellent. Consider picking this Knucklehead Radar if you don’t already have one better.

The Impossible Machines

These Warlock Gauntlets are specific to the Stormcaller subclass and currently remain a must-have. The innate perk is called “Lightning Rod” and gives the subclass the “Landfall” ability perk without taking up a spot on the skill tree.

The other available perks include a choice between “Snap Discharge” and “Impact Induction” for increased melee attack speed or bonus grenade energy on melee hits. Fast Auto Rifle or Machine Gun reload speed is also available.

The 54 Intellect/52 Strength split stat roll is close to perfect for The Impossible Machines and in the right spots for the Stormcaller subclass to regenerate Super and Melee abilities faster.
