‘One Piece’ Manga Chapter 846: Luffy And Nami Battle ‘Enraged Army,’ While Sanji Agrees To Wed Pudding To Save Straw Hats Gang From Big Mom’s Wrath [Spoilers]

Multiple explosive events outlined in Chapter 846 of immensely popular Japanese manga One Piece make it truly one of the most exciting. The entire Straw Hats gang, albeit scattered, is on the Whole Cake Chateau. While Luffy and Nami are in grave danger, Pedro and Brooke are planning a daring heist.

Chapter 846 of One Piece opens with Luffy and Nami facing the huge “enraged army” that Big Mom sent. In the previous chapter, Luffy refused to leave the spot where he had a rather unpleasant encounter with his friend Sanji. While Luffy attempted to tug at Black Leg’s heartstrings, the latter pretended to be a heartless prince of the Vinsmoke clan and continued with the Germa 66 procession towards Big Mom’s Whole Cake Chateau.

Even when the storm clouds and gale force winds, generated by Big Mom, arrived, Luffy did not heed Nami’s warnings and stayed put. Though King Baum and Nami tried to get the Straw Hats captain to hide from the approaching army, Luffy refused.

Interestingly, Nami uses her abilities to manipulate the thunderclouds to destroy several soldiers of the Chess Barbarian Army. While she cannot make the clouds, she can certainly use them to her advantage. Meanwhile, a terrified King Baum pleads with Lady Amanda. He keeps on insisting that he did not willingly betray Big Mom, but Amanda doesn’t listen, and starts to slice the poor giant tree with her sword. Ignoring the tree’s cries of pain, Amanda notes that cutting him down through the center would mean killing him. Instead, she decides to kill him slowly, “in the most agonizing speed possible.”

‘One Piece‘ Manga Chapter 843: Sanji Elopes With Pudding With Help From Vinsmoke Clan, While Luffy And Straw Hats Gang Face Big Mom’s Wrath? [Spoilers]

Since Luffy didn’t defend himself against Black Leg’s attacks, he is still very weak, hurt, and in pain, reported GameNGuide. Taking advantage of Luffy’s vulnerability, Big Mom’s henchmen rain attacks on him. While Luffy is battling the smaller soldiers of the Chess Barbarian Army, the Cream Monster pours boiling hot fresh cream on him. Despite getting scalded, Luffy uses one of his Gear attacks to counter the cream and starts to roast the Cream Monster.

However, before Luffy is able to destroy the Cream Monster, he finds himself in a strange world. It appears Luffy has been transported into the World of Books. While in the strange world, Luffy is mercilessly pounded by two large soldiers. As Nami watches helplessly, Luffy is pummeled.

Incidentally, Nami has been held captive by one of Big Mom’s henchwomen, who grabs Charlotte Linlin’s vivre card that Nami has had in her possession all along. It becomes clear to the enemies how the duo managed to escape the Seducing Woods, and overpowered the Chess Barbarian Army. While the woman is surprised to read the word “Lola” scrawled over the card, the enemy is shocked, and concludes that the Straw Hats gang might have stolen the vivre card from Lola and that she might get herself killed. Nami clarifies that the card was willfully given to her as a gift by Lola.

Surprisingly, Big Mom has ordered the enraged army to capture the duo alive, reported Yonkou Productions. Despite being badly wounded and overpowered, Luffy refuses to budge from the spot. In the previous chapter, he had similarly tried to stay put in the very spot to ensure he was present if Sanji came back.

In the next scene, it becomes clear why the enraged army wasn’t permitted to kill Luffy and Nami. It seems Big Mom promised Sanji to spare the lives of all members of the Straw Hats gang. Since Sanji has agreed to marry Lady Pudding, Big Mom allows the entire Straw Hats crew to leave the island. However, Big Mom insists that Sanji should marry Pudding without putting up a fuss, and won’t attempt to escape the Whole Cake Island.

An overjoyed Sanji promises to marry Pudding and adds that he’ll make her the “happiest girl alive.” Big Mom appears visibly upset about the destruction of the Seducing Woods, defeat of Commander Cracker, and consumption of candy on Fishman Island. However, she insists that the Sanji and Pudding’s marriage is top priority for her. Interestingly, Big Mom has her heart set on the mighty Germa 66 army that the Vinsmoke clan commands. In the previous chapters, it was revealed that the marriage was merely a ruse to ensure the two clans united.

Meanwhile, several of Big Mom’s imposing commanders are guarding the “Room of Offerings.” Incidentally, the most important possession stored in the room is Poneglyphs. For Big Mom’s crew to reach Raftel, the final island, the Road Poneglyphs are quite important. The room currently houses many treasures and is guarded well. Hence Lady Smoothie, the 14th daughter of the Charlotte clan, with a bounty of 932,000,000, questions Tamago why the security detail was suddenly beefed up.

Baron Tamago is aware of Pedro and Brooke’s presence in the Whole Cake Chateau. However, he doesn’t know their whereabouts. He is concerned about the safety of the Road Poneglyphs or the Red Stones, as they are important to any pirate who dreams of becoming the pirate king. Unknown to the enemy, Pedro and Brooke are hiding in the “Alcohol Storehouse” that’s adjacent to the Room of Offerings. After the duo becomes aware of the fact that Big Mom has increased security around the Road Poneglyphs, the tension in the room is quite palpable.

The duo is acutely aware of the dangers that await them if they dare to sneak inside the Room of Offerings to steal the Road Poneglyphs. However, they feel obliged to steal the Red Stones so that Luffy D. Monkey can become the pirate king. While the two are thinking of their various attempts to steal the stones, Brooke asks Pedro, “Who is Baron’s Tamago’s target?” Knowing well it is Pedro, Brooke suggests the former may have to become a bait, while he steals the Red Stones for Luffy.

While mangaka Eiichiro Oda has confirmed that Luffy and Nami won’t be killed by Big Mom’s enraged army, he hasn’t revealed if the duo will be captured. Moreover, Sanji and Pudding’s wedding ceremony hasn’t taken place yet. Will Pedro and Brooke manage to steal the Road Poneglyphs? Will Carrot and Chopper be able to help any of the Straw Hats members scattered across the Whole Cake Islands? Hopefully these questions could be answered in Chapter 847 of One Piece manga, which is expected to be released net week, without any break.
