Mariah Carey And Nick Cannon Divorce Settlement Is Final Amid James Packer Breakup, Backup Dancer Dates, And A Shocking Pregnancy Announcement

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s divorce settlement is finally done, and some of the demands Mariah made are pretty shocking. It was also revealed that both Mariah and Nick made considerably less money than many thought. Now that Mariah is free from her marriage and her engagement to James Packer, it seems that her romance with backup dancer Bryan Tanaka is still going strong.

According to TMZ, both Mariah and Nick are making a lot less money than previously thought. Both were required to disclose their income for 2014 in order to finalize their divorce. It turns out that Mariah Carey only made $6.3 million, while Nick Cannon brought in $2.7 million in the same year.

That didn’t stop Mariah from making some pretty interesting demands on Nick. The divorced parents will split custody of their twins, Monroe and Morrocan. However, Nick will be required to put $5,000 per month away in a trust for the twins, while Mariah is not required to save money for the kids at all. The kids will primarily live with Mariah, but when Nick comes to visit, she is required to pay for travel and lodging.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s divorce settlement also makes it clear that they are mom and dad and will be the only mom and dad. The agreed-upon settlement makes it clear that no one else is allowed to be addressed by the twins as mom, dad, mother, father or any variation that would cause one to assume that they are a parent to Monroe and Morrocan.

Mariah and Nick’s divorce settlement and finalization were supposed to come in time for Mariah to marry James Packer. That won’t be happening now due to a nasty split back in October. It was said that Packer did something pretty bad to Mariah’s assistant during a trip to Greece that had the superstar singer so upset that she packed up and headed home mid-trip. She didn’t even bother to see James Packer in the weeks after their messy split.

After news broke that Mariah and James were no longer together, she made it clear that she was keeping the $10 million engagement ring. Mariah Carey also asked James Packer to pay her $50 million for her troubles since the engagement was called off. It’s still not clear if Packer plans to pony up with the huge payoff or if he turned Mariah down.

As far as love is concerned, Mariah Carey seems to have plenty of that still. Almost immediately after news broke of her split with James Packer, Mariah was seen out on the town with one of her backup dancers Bryan Tanaka. It was rumored that Mariah and James had argued in the past about Tanaka, and when things got really heated, Packer had him banned from the casino where Mariah regularly performed.

Now it looks like James Packer had every right to be worried about Bryan Tanaka trying to take his woman. Just days ago, Radar Online reported on Mariah’s latest sighting with her backup dancer. They said the songstress was baring quite a bit in a skin-tight bodysuit, but her best accessory of the night was her “boy toy” backup dancer/boyfriend.

Mariah Carey isn’t the only one exiting the marriage with headline-worthy baggage. It seems that Nick Cannon was waiting to finalize his divorce with Mariah before confirming his own news. After rumors have circulated for weeks about the possible pregnancy of his ex-girlfriend Brittany Bell, the America’s Got Talent host confirmed that he is about to be a dad again.

In an interview early on Thursday with The Breakfast Club, Nick cannon admitted that he is growing his family. Despite no longer being with Brittany, Nick seemed pretty excited about being a dad again. Thankfully, that baby news won’t affect his divorce settlement with Mariah Carey. It seems the two are over each other enough that they don’t care much who the other one dates.
