Brad Pitt Reportedly Isn’t Ready To Move On From His Marriage To Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt and his wife, Angelina Jolie, parted ways nearly two months ago, and still, the 52-year-old actor reportedly isn’t ready to move on.

While no one would have expected Pitt to be dating again so soon after his split, a new report has suggested that Brad Pitt is still quite upset about his messy split from Jolie and simply isn’t ready to love again.

“[Brad Pitt] has no desire to date or get involved in any new relationships,” a source explained to Hollywood Life. “He is still stunned and heartbroken over his failed marriage, and feels like it’ll be a long time before he’s ready to love again.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s romance started on the set of 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith, despite Pitt being married to Jennifer Aniston at the time. Although the relationship was deemed controversial at the time, especially due to the fact that Jolie had previously been accused of stealing Billy Bob Thornton from his former fiancee, Laura Dern, the couple didn’t let the backlash get them down and weeks after Aniston filed for divorce, they went public in Kenya. Then, one year later, Jolie gave birth to their first child, daughter Shiloh, now 10.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie also have twins, Vivienne and Knox, 8, whom they welcomed in 2008, and are the are adoptive parents to Maddox, 15, from Cambodia, Pax, 12, from Vietnam, and Zahara, 11, from Ethiopia.

According to the Hollywood Life report, Brad Pitt’s close friends, including George Clooney, have reportedly been urging the actor to get himself back in the dating game and surround himself with beautiful women, but thus far, Pitt has not been too keen on the idea. Instead, he’s focused on his custody battle for his kids and his career.

After going unseen for several weeks following Jolie’s divorce filing, Brad Pitt stepped out earlier this month for the Los Angeles premiere of his newest film, Allied. Brad Pitt also stepped out for another event to promote the film a short time later.

Throughout filming on Allied, Brad Pitt was linked to his co-star, Marion Cotillard, and when Jolie suddenly filed for divorce, many believed she was involved. In fact, a Page Six report claimed Angelina Jolie opted to cut ties with Brad Pitt after hiring a private investigator who allegedly discovered he was having an on-set affair. And not just that. The source also claimed Pitt was reportedly acting like a “single guy” on a mission during production.

“She hired a private eye because she felt that [Brad Pitt] was fooling around with her on the set, and it turns out, he was. And that was the final straw,” the source said.

Although Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard remained silent during the entirety of filming when it came to rumors of an affair, Cotillard quickly spoke out after Jolie’s divorce filing,

“I am not used to commenting on things like this nor taking them seriously but as this situation is spiraling and affecting people I love, I have to speak up,” Cotillard wrote in a post to fans on Instagram. “Firstly, many years ago, I met the man of my life, father of our son and of the baby we are expecting. He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need. Secondly to those who have indicated that I am devastated, I am very well thank you. This crafted conversation isn’t distressing. Finally, I do very much wish that Angelina and [Brad Pitt], both whom I deeply respect, will find peace in this very tumultuous moment. With all my love.”
