Vicki Gunvalson Cancer Charity Dropped: Insurance Business Bouncing Back After Brooks Ayers?

Vicki Gunvalson really wanted to clear her name after Brooks Ayers was caught faking his medical records during a national interview. Vicki had defended him repeatedly, saying that she had seen him sick, and she was convinced that he had cancer, even though she hadn’t been with him in chemotherapy or even attended a doctor’s appointment with him. But when this new season of The Real Housewives of Orange County started, Gunvalson admitted that her dedication to a man who was caught lying about having cancer had some consequences. Her business, COTO Insurance, had suffered.

According to a new tweet, Vicki Gunvalson revealed that things are turning around for her, and it could be because she’s dropping her involvement with a cancer charity called Kill All Cancer. Earlier this year, Vicki revealed that she was working with this business, which was collecting money for cancer research and then redistributing the money to various charities working to fight cancer. In addition, Vicki would get to pitch insurance solutions to people who signed up for more information.

After dropping her involvement with the cancer charity, Vicki Gunvalson’s own business seems to have turned around. When she started filming this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Gunvalson revealed that she had lost valuable business thanks to Brooks’ lies. Her personal business had been affected, and she started working on selling insurance to get everything back on track. And it sounds like things worked as Gunvalson is now opening another office in Irvine, California.

“Need some design help… I’m building my brand new office to debut in Irvine in March 2017. Should I do restoration hardware theme or Ritz?” Vicki Gunvalson revealed on Twitter, sharing that she wanted some interior design help to make her new office beautiful.

On the reunion special, Gunvalson told Andy that she was tired of talking about Ayers, and she really wanted to move on. But since the drama from last year spilled into this season of the show, it was hard to ignore it. And maybe Gunvalson just wants to move on because he has ruined so much for her already.

“A lot has happened in my life since you last saw me on the couch last season with Andy and hopefully you will be happy with how far I have come in my personal life. I have to say last year was probably the worst year of my life, and I’m glad it’s over and behind me,” Vicki Gunvalson revealed in her Bravo blog earlier this year, revealing that she was ready to leave everything behind and move on from the Brooks cancer scandal.

“I learned a lot about myself and have finally realized that everything happens for a reason and much of it is a divine intervention. I’m finally at peace with it all, and this season you will see me trying to move on, after asking for forgiveness. Some are willing to do accept it and move on, and some aren’t which I’m actually okay with now. I’m not going to be stuck in the past anymore,” she revealed in her blog released on Bravo earlier this year.

In the old blog from this summer, Vicki Gunvalson points to a statement that Ayers made that she believes clears her from any wrongdoings.

“Vicki was not ‘in on any cancer scam or created storyline.’ There is no scam,” Ayers said in an interview about his illness and lies, adding, “Second, Vicki never has paid me to be quiet regarding this ‘supposed’ scam nor has paid me to release any statements.”

Are you surprised that Vicki Gunvalson has been able to repair her image and expand her business, given she had such a bad reputation last year?
