Kate Middleton Reportedly ‘Delighted’ About Prince Harry’s New Love, Harry Calls For Respect Of Relationship

Although Rumors have swirled that Kate Middleton feels somewhat threatened by Prince Harry’s new girlfriend, Suits actress Meghan Markle, for a number of reasons including Markle’s humanitarian efforts and her drive and determination to assist in supporting various charitable causes, it’s been communicated that Kate Middleton is actually quite fond of Markle and delighted that she and Harry have become an item.

The Daily Mail relays that Markle has been staying with her new royal beau at Prince Harry’s home in Kensington Palace and the word is that the actress has already made a fantastic impression on the rest of the royals, including Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The Duchess is reported to be “thrilled” over the blossoming relationship, according to a royal source.

“Kate is thrilled that Harry has finally found a girlfriend who looks like being a keeper.”

Even though there has been talk about a rivalry between Kate and Meghan, sources state that the Duchess actually makes quite a good role model for Markle in regard to handling the media attention that comes when dating royalty. It’s being reported that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge likely spent time finally with Harry and Meghan over the past weekend while the foursome visited London for Remembrance Day events.

Although Kate and William reside in Norfolk, when they visit London, they stay at Kensington Palace as well which would have allowed for the perfect opportunity for the two couples to bond after the events of the day. Sources share that although there was speculation that the new couple had met William and Kate prior to the weekend visit to London, this is not the case.

Prince Charles also made his way to London with his wife Camilla after having just flown back from Bahrain. The Queen and Prince Philip additionally remained in London following the ceremony for Remembrance Day, which means that Harry had the perfect opportunity to introduce Meghan Markle to his entire family.

Meghan was spotted taking a short walk and enjoying the city on Thursday during which she went on a shopping trip to Whole Foods on High Street Kensington, which is quite close to the palace.

It is clear that the situation involving Markle staying in London is an indication that the relationship between the two is “serious.” Meghan has been married once before and Harry has been involved in a number of long-term relationships, yet his previous girlfriends were not keen on the spotlight. Due to being a notable actress, it is likely that Markle will be able to handle the media limelight much like Kate has.

Sources even share that Meghan is taking time off from filming Suits to be with Harry and that London holds significance for their relationship because it was while Meghan was in the U.K. that Harry declared his love for her. The Mirror notes that Meghan has shared that her relationship with Prince Harry is “like a fairy tale.”

The romance between the two was made known two weeks ago, following being spotted with matching bracelets that the two have worn for months. The palace made an official announcement that the Prince and Markle had been in a relationship “for months” in a statement last week.

Prince Harry, however, made it clear that he expected their relationship to be respected, after accusing the media of intrusion and noting the “sexism and racism of social media trolls,” while adding via communications secretary Jason Knauf that their relationship “is not a game, it is her life and his.”

Prince Harry is clearly taking a strong stance following his former girlfriends being scrutinized by the media and after comments based on Markle’s ethnicity being made via social media.
