It’s been six months, and Kelly Ripa’s co-host hasn’t been announced yet. Fans have certainly seen many promising faces join Ripa to guest host the show, and while some have had great success alongside Ripa, others were forgettable. That said, some of the most memorable faces include Jerry O’Connell, Anderson Cooper, Andy Cohen, Fred Savage, Neil Patrick Harris, and Michael Buble.
For a while, it seemed these successful guest co-hosts had a real shot of winning the seat next to Kelly Ripa on a permanent basis. Then, there was the possibility that ABC and Ripa would take this new format and run with it, but now it looks like three new faces have entered the race.

As the Inquisitr reported, there’s one person who might take Kelly Ripa’s co-host chair that fans didn’t originally expect. Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly came out of nowhere as one of the first women who had a real chance at winning her place next to Ripa. The reason why she’s a real contender is because she brought huge ratings to Live with Kelly! during her appearance. It’s said that Kelly brought in Kelly Ripa’s highest ratings since Michael Strahan’s departure. That considered, it would be a no-brainer if ABC jumped on the chance to have Megyn Kelly as a permanent co-host.
The only problem we see is that, just like with Anderson Cooper having a responsibility to CNN, Megyn Kelly has Fox News as her first priority, which means she may not have time to dedicate to being a permanent fixture on Live! That said, there’s another new name in the race for the co-host spot.
According to Bravo TV, Kroy Biermann might be ready to take Kelly Ripa’s co-host spot. Atlanta housewife Kim Zolciak-Biermann endorsed her husband, American football player Kroy Biermann, as the perfect man for the job. What’s surprising is that Biermann hasn’t ruled out the possibility of tossing his name into the ring for the job.
The free agent tweeted to Bravo host Andy Cohen, “I’m ready! Let’s go! Andy I know you can make this happen.”

This isn’t the first time Kroy Biermann’s name has been suggested for Live! Back in September, Bravo interviewed his wife, and she had this to say about the possibility.
“It’s so funny; Kroy’s very well spoken. I’ve always said, ‘You should do broadcasting’… I told him he should try out for that LIVE with Kelly [co-hosting job]. I was like, ‘You should do that,’ so we’ll see.”
Fans also seem to be excited about this possibility.
@biermann71 I agree Kroy you would make a new different crowd up the ratings with your funny stuff

Another name to watch out for in terms of snagging Kelly Ripa’s co-host seat is Richard Curtis. While Curtis is not a celebrity by any means, he’s one of the most shocking considerations to sit in the hot seat because he’s a regular Joe. No one really expected anything to come out of ABC’s Live with Kelly and You contest. The contest, which included audience and viewer participation, plucked 20 ordinary people for a chance to win a guest co-host spot next to Kelly Ripa for the day. As it turned out, the high school teacher was so charming that he was asked to host the show a second time with Ripa, which gave people pause on whether or not he was now considered a true possibility to replace Michael Strahan.
Who do you think will win the gig to become Kelly Ripa’s co-host?
