Phaedra Parks Thinks Kandi Burruss’ Mother Should Focus On The Afterlife Rather Than Her

Phaedra Parks has been focusing on her relationships with her friends since her husband turned himself in back in 2014. Apollo Nida was sentenced to eight years behind bars, and she made a decision to move on without him. Parks had no interest in waiting eight years for him, as she felt that he had completely betrayed both her and their two sons by starting fraudulent companies behind her back and using fake identities to run them. And Parks has since filed for divorce.

According to a new Bravo report, Phaedra Parks is now revealing her thoughts about what happened between her and Kandi Burruss. Last year, Phaedra and Kandi stopped being friends, as Apollo Nida kept talking to Todd Tucker. Kandi wanted to stay neutral between Phaedra Parks and her estranged husband, but Parks took offense. The friendship between them started breaking down and now Kandi’s mother is saying things behind Phaedra’s back. And on Sunday’s episode of the show, her comments were caught on camera.

Mama Joyce – aka Kandi’s mother – revealed a strong dislike for Phaedra Parks. Joyce hinted that Phaedra would go far to protect herself, and she hinted that Parks should be sharing the jail cell with Apollo. She also revealed that Phaedra Parks always carries a briefcase, but people can’t reach her at her office. Joyce then brought up the Georgia law that says she could get divorced after two years of Apollo’s sentence. When they were filming the scene, it hadn’t been two years, so she couldn’t legally get a divorce. Maybe Phaedra Parks was just waiting until those two years had passed.

“I am never surprised when attention seeking people say and do things to get attention, because it’s what they do and it is expected. It is unfortunate that she is still searching for significance this late in her life, rather than focusing on the afterlife. Bless her heart,” Phaedra Parks revealed in an interview with Bravo that serves as her blog for The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Of course, Parks may be surprised that Burruss’ mother would talk about her behind her back. But Joyce does have a bad reputation when it comes to dishing the dirt. For a long time, she had many opinions about Todd Tucker, calling him an opportunist. She felt that Todd was only dating Kandi for her money, so when they got married, she wasn’t exactly supportive of them. It took a long time, but Todd is just happy that the gossip is no longer about him.

But both Phaedra Parks and Kandi were at Kenya Moore’s housewarming and they were confused as to why Moore wouldn’t let Porsha stick around. Parks chose to leave, but the two could get along after she left the party, as the two went out for lunch. But Phaedra had expected nothing less.

“Everybody knows that it wouldn’t be a proper Kenya party if someone wasn’t thrown out. So I was not moved one way or the other. I am just amazed she didn’t have her ‘security’ do it,” Phaedra Parks reveals in an interview with Bravo, sharing that she wasn’t surprised that Porsha was thrown out of the party.

But since Phaedra came to the party with Williams, she decided it would be best for her to leave as well. Sheree Whitfield followed them shortly after, as she felt it was rude for Moore to kick them out. Luckily for Parks, she managed to keep the peace between herself and her Real Housewives of Atlanta co-stars.
