Katy Perry Jokes She’s Been Sia All This Time: Luckily There Are Photos To Disprove It
Sia, the Australian singer/songwriter, almost left the spotlight after her 2011 North American and Australian tours. Her tours were focused on promoting We are Born, Sia’s fifth studio album, but following her tours, Sia was rarely seen because she wanted to focus on songwriting instead of producing music.

As a songwriter, Sia has penned lyrics for successful songs sung by artists like Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Kate Pierson, and Britney Spears. In fact, she’s reportedly contributed to the recording of 73 hit songs by collaborating as a songwriter with various popular singers.
However, she wasn’t able to avoid publicity for long because 1000 Forms of Fear, her 2014 album, became extremely popular. “Chandelier” became a huge hit, and Sia had to resurface once again to perform her hit numbers at various award ceremonies and shows. It was around this time that Sia began to wear her signature wig, not only to avoid publicity but also to create a mysterious on-stage persona.

Now Sia has embarked on a North American tour and has teamed up with Miguel and Aluna George to perform songs featured on her two recent albums, 1000 Forms of Fear and This Is Acting. The tour is known as the “Nostalgia for the Present Tour” and will cover major cities in the United States and Canada. The Daily Mail reports that Sia’s 23-day tour commenced in Seattle, Washington.
While touring Los Angeles, the talented singer performed at a Hollywood Bowl concert attended by many pop stars, including Katy Perry. According to the Daily Mail, Katy shared a video after the concert revealing that no one in the audience was able to recognize her during the show as she had covered her face under a Sia-inspired wig. The “Roar” singer joked that, in fact, she has been the real Sia the whole time. Luckily, there have been a few photos of Sia without her famous wig posing with Katy Perry, so the “Roar” singer’s comments weren’t taken seriously.

Sia’s performance during the show was magical even though she had previously annoyed her Israeli fans who were against the recorded content being featured in a live show. However, the Los Angeles show clearly showed that Sia and her on-stage dance troupe were completely in-synch with the recorded show and crowds at the Hollywood Bowl were impressed with the synchronicity. Moreover, Sia was joined by Maddie Ziegler, the accomplished young dancer, who has already featured in some of the artist’s popular music videos.
Besides her collaborators, a number of prominent celebrities have become fans of Sia’s music. Whoopi Goldberg turned out to be one of Sia’s greatest admirers when the “Cheap Thrills” singer appreciated Strut, Whoopi Goldberg’s modeling show that is telecast on Oxygen and which specifically focuses on transgender models.
In love with the new reality tv show STRUT about our trans brothers and sisters trying to make it in the modeling biz! Love you guys!

According to Entertainment Tonight, Sia’s feelings for Whoopi go further than her most recent work, because she mentioned that two of Whoopi’s well-known films have had a tremendous impact on her.
“I am one of your greatest fans, I dressed like you from Jumping Jack Flash for my entire youth, The Color Purple shaped my moral compass, and Sister Act made me love gospel.”
@WhoopiGoldberg moral compass, and sister act made me love gospel. I love you, you are a part of me, and getting this tweet is momentous.

Whoopi reciprocated Sia’s love and admiration with a tweet that revealed the veteran actress was very much impressed by Sia’s art, which includes “Bird Set Free” and “California Dreaming.”
