Gwen Stefani Wears Gown That Looks Like Wedding Dress, Brings Blake Shelton To The Glamour Women Of The Year Awards

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton attended the 2016 Glamour Women of the Year Awards on Monday night, and the stunning dress Gwen chose to wear to the star-studded event may give fans an idea of what to expect when she picks a bridal gown for her winter wedding.

Gwen Stefani was one of the women bestowed with an award during the ceremony, so she made sure to look her best when she took the stage at NeueHouse Hollywood. The singer’s Marchesa gown featured a voluminous skirt with lots of tulle, and it looked an awful lot like the type of edgy wedding gown that a fashion trailblazer like Gwen Stefani would choose to wear for her nuptials. The bottom half of the gown was a soft blush color, but the top had an ombré effect with a splash of black dye.

According to Glamour, The Late Late Show host James Corden presented Gwen Stefani with her Woman of the Year Award, and he decided to talk fashion when he introduced her. According to the comedian, Gwen was his ’90s style inspiration — he rocked crop tops because of her.

During her acceptance speech, Gwen thanked Blake Shelton for helping her survive the aftermath of her devastating divorce from Gavin Rossdale.

“Taking the pain [of the last year] and trying to make something great out of it is what I really tried to do,” Gwen said before giving a shout-out to Blake “for kissing me back to life.”

Blake Shelton probably felt like he was living the lyrics of “A Guy With the Girl,” especially with Gwen Stefani showing off her toned tummy and a hint of attention-grabbing side boob underneath her crisscross top. However, Blake did clean up pretty nicely for the event. He didn’t wear a suit and tie, but this is likely because he didn’t want to draw attention to his “man boobs.” The Voice coach told People that he doesn’t think that formal wear suits his cowboy bod.

“If you get dressed up the right way, it should be fitted to you,” Shelton said. “But when things are fitted to me, it’s hard for me to disguise man boobs and gut and all that stuff, so it’s all sticking out!”

During the Glamour Women of the Year Awards, Gwen Stefani couldn’t stop gushing about her sharp-dressed man.

“It’s incredible to have a best friend like that guy,” Stefani told Entertainment Tonight. “He’s an amazing person.”

Gwen Stefani didn’t reveal whether there is any truth to the rumors that she and Shelton are planning on tying the knot in the near future, but sources have told Us Weekly that the couple will likely be married by Christmas. They’re reportedly finalizing wedding arrangements, but no one seems to know the exact date of their nuptials. As the Inquisitr previously reported, this may be because they’re planning a surprise wedding that will take place at Blake Shelton’s ranch in Oklahoma.

Gwen Stefani would not be walking down the aisle with Blake Shelton so soon if she wasn’t absolutely certain that their marriage will last. During her interview for Glamour’s Women of the Year issue, she revealed that she takes marriage vows very seriously. This is why it was so hard for her to walk away from Gavin Rossdale.

“[Marriage] was the one thing I didn’t want to fail at. People can say whatever they want to about me…and I don’t get too affected. But I didn’t want them to think I was a failure,” Stefani said.

If she decides to give marriage another go with Blake Shelton, do you think Gwen Stefani will choose a wedding gown that looks similar to her Women of the Year Awards dress?
