Photo Of 3 Cows Stranded On Hill After Supermoon Earthquake: Meanings And Rescue Attempts Sought [Video]

The above photo shows three cows that were captured on video, with the plight of the three cows being a popular topic that has captured the attention of social media. As seen in the below video, titled “New Zealand Earthquake Strands Cows,” the three cows were left stranded on a portion of grass after a powerful earthquake occurred in New Zealand.

The three cows were left, apparently alive, after the earthquake caused landslides in New Zealand, as well as a small tsunami.

The photos and videos of the three cows seemingly left helpless by the earthquake’s aftermath has caused some folks on social media to demand that the three cows be rescued, as reported by BuzzFeed. The sight of the three cows has touched a nerve with certain people, who are hoping against hope that a helicopter rescue attempt can be made with some sort of device that might pluck the three cows to freedom — and then, most likely, to a dinner table, since the cattle on a thousand hills from Psalms comes to mind in such an instance.

The above photo shows the devastation on February 26, 2011, from a prior New Zealand earthquake in central Christchurch.

The earthquake that rocked the land more than five years ago was of a 6.3 magnitude. The more recent earthquake that struck New Zealand on Monday, November 14, brought to mind the devastation of Christchurch.

In the meantime, others who aren’t calling for the rescue of the three cows are writing funny headlines about the cows, such as the video titled, “These cows couldn’t mooove after an earthquake left them stranded.”

“The earth mooooved, but they couldn’t. These cows survived but were stranded after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake.”

That rendition of the plight of the three cows, uploaded to the Facebook page of CNN, received nearly 500,000 views in approximately one hour.

A video version of the stranded cows uploaded to the Sky News Facebook page, which appears to be the same aerial footage of the three cows that lots of news outlets are sharing, has received nearly 800,000 views in about 7 hours. The popularity of the videos proves that folks are pretty interested in and concerned about the three cows stranded after the earthquake.

More correctly, the video of the three cows actually shows two cows and a calf who were cut off from their green pastures by the New Zealand earthquake — and somehow miraculously survived the fate of other cows no doubt who succumbed to the earthquake.

Whether folks are as concerned about the human toll of devastation that the New Zealand earthquake — which had a magnitude of 7.8 on the Richter scale — had upon non-bovine creatures as they are about the three cows being rescued remains to be seen.

An image of the supermoon above a Roman Catholic church in Manila, Philippines, can be seen above.

Experts are connecting the so-called supermoon with the New Zealand earthquake, at least according to one seismologist, as reported by RT. Before the supermoon making a prominent appearance on Tuesday evening, the link between the pull of a supermoon and earthquake activity already had some people buzzing.

There were claims that the New Zealand earthquake was already predicted about a week or more before the Supermoon, as reported by the Daily Mail?.

Other folks are bandying about potential meanings of the three cows being stranded on a hill after the earthquake — in the midst of a supermoon. Some of the dream interpretations about cows to be found online speak of cows representing nourishment and sustenance, with cows often having significant religious meaning for Hindus.
