Chris Laurita Breaks His Silence: Did His Wife Jacqueline Turn In Teresa Giudice To The IRS?

Chris Laurita was shocked to hear that Teresa Giudice wasn’t happy with his wife, Jacqueline Laurita. Chris heard the accusation at the same time as everyone else on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and one can imagine that he was completely shocked. Even though Laurita may have heard from Joe Giudice that things were not going great at home, especially in terms of the finances, there’s a huge distance between knowing something could be wrong and then going to the IRS to turn them in. But Teresa was convinced that Jacqueline and her sister-in-law Caroline Manzo had something to do with it.

According to a new Bravo report, Chris Laurita is now defending his wife, saying that she had nothing to do with the IRS learning about Teresa’s illegal business dealings. In fact, Chris simply sees Teresa’s behavior as a way of deflecting her own troubles onto Jacqueline. Laurita feels that his wife’s co-star isn’t taking any responsibility for her own mistakes, including her decision to sign business papers put forth by her husband.

“I think all the reunions have been difficult for one reason or another,” Chris Laurita revealed in an interview with Bravo’s Daily Dish, sharing that he really struggled to understand where the accusation was coming from. “This one was difficult as well. I really feel like Jacqueline was kind of on her own island.”

Of course, Chris Laurita is standing by his wife. Throughout this season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Chris told Joe Gorga that he’s standing by his wife no matter what because he feels that she is the victim in much of the drama. And when it comes to the accusation that Jacqueline turned in Teresa to the IRS, Chris Laurita is convinced that this is a downright lie to make his wife look even worse.

“That is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard in my life,” Chris Laurita explains in his interview with the Daily Dish, adding, “I’m sorry, but first of all, we have never called anyone on anyone for anything. And we certainly had no involvement with that whatsoever. That was all going on before we even really got to know them.”

Last year, Teresa felt that her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga was causing problems, and she was often on the receiving end of various accusations. These days, Giudice and Gorga get along, and Chris Laurita is convinced that they have both set their sights on Jacqueline to take the blame. And this is why it has been so easy to blame her for the IRS finding out about Teresa’s legal problems. Rather than point fingers, Chris feels that his former friend should start taking responsibility for the fraudulent business behavior both she and her husband, Joe Giudice, did over several years.

“It’s really, really simple. All I was trying to say was take responsibility for your own actions. At what point do you take responsibility? Stop blaming everybody else. At the end of the day, nobody did those things but you. So just take responsibility. We don’t care. We’re not gonna hold it against you. But just stop blaming everybody. Last year, she was blaming her brother. This year, she’s blaming Jacqueline. Who’s next? It’s just ridiculous,” Chris Laurita explains in the interview, adding, “I think it’s all about owning what you’ve done and saying, ‘Look, I screwed up’ and ‘I’m sorry’ and move on. It’s that simple.”
