Angelina Jolie Is Struggling To Make Her Kids Happy Amid Brad Pitt Divorce

Angelina Jolie is said to be having trouble making her kids happy as they remain living in a home in Malibu, California, after leaving their family home in Los Feliz two months ago.

According to a recent report, Angelina Jolie’s children with Brad Pitt, including Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and Vivienne and Knox, 8, are homesick.

“Angelina Jolie has been struggling with keeping the kids happy,” an insider told Hollywood Life on November 12. “It’s been weeks since the kids moved out of their home and they are getting homesick. The children are sad, miss the huge house they grew up in, and have been complaining to Angelina that they want to go home. The older children are not happy with the situation while the younger kids are having trouble understanding why they can’t just go home.”

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt on September 19 and has been living in Malibu with their children ever since as Pitt remains at their former home by himself. Throughout their time apart, numerous rumors have been swirling as to why the couple parted ways and Pitt has been accused of child abuse. That said, he was recently cleared of all charges.

As their custody battle continues, Angelina Jolie’s kids have reportedly grown homesick for their house in Los Feliz.

“The Los Feliz home has been where the kids have spent most of their time growing up,” the Hollywood Life insider explained. “Brad has built a huge skate ramp for the kids on the property and they all have their own rooms there too. They may have lots of houses but the Los Feliz house has always been home.”

Throughout their time together, Angelina Jolie and her now-estranged husband picked up numerous properties, including a home in New Orleans and a mansion in France. Following their split, they quickly put both homes on the market and may sell more of their properties as time continues.

As Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce continues, Angelina Jolie is reportedly doing whatever she can to keep her children happy. However, she’s faced challenges while doing so.

“The kids are so depressed and [Angelina Jolie] is scrambling to do anything and everything to cheer them up,” a source told Hollywood Life. “Her first tactic was showing them as much love as possible — more hugs, more compliments, more affection, letting them sleep in her bed and stay up late, but that was not getting her anywhere.”

“Now she’s resorting to gifts. Anything they want, they get it. Zahara, 11, loves to shop so [Angelina Jolie] had her go to her favorite online stores and get whatever she wanted,” the source continued. “The twins (Knox and Vivienne, both 8) got a toy shopping spree. The boys (Maddox, 15, and Pax, 12) get gadgets, and electronics, and Shiloh, 10, wants a puppy! Angie is still holding out on that one! ”

Angelina Jolie’s relationship with Brad Pitt began on the set of 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith and caused quite the controversy at the time due to Pitt’s marriage to Jennifer Aniston. While Pitt and Aniston were married during filming, Aniston ultimately filed for divorce and after she did, Pitt and Jolie went public with a joint outing in Kenya with Maddox. At the time, Maddox was only the adopted son of Angelina Jolie, but years later, Pitt adopted the child as his own. In the years that followed, Angelina Jolie and her former partner adopted Pax and Zahara and welcomed biological children Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox.
