Song Hye-Kyo Shares A Romantic Moment With Song Joong-Ki During Her Fan Meet, Actress Gets Emotional

It was a memorable Sunday afternoon for the fans of Song Hye-kyo.

To commemorate her 20-year reign in hallyu, South Korean actress Song Hye-kyo hosted a fan meet at Coex Auditorium in Seoul on Sunday.

Sporting a stunning black dress, Song Hye-kyo looked every bit the bombshell during her meet-and-greet with fans. The charming actress spoke to her fans, took selfies with them, and had a good time re-visiting her old projects.

Looking at her vast fan base, the actress was visibly overwhelmed. At one point, Song Hye-kyo got emotional and cried while reading a letter from a fan, who expressed her utmost devotion to the actress.

In 2016, Song Hye-kyo returned to television after a brief hiatus of two years. The hallyu heartthrob started off her career in K-dramas, such as Autumn in My Heart (2000), All In (2003), Full House (2004), The World That They Live In (2008), and That Winter, the Wind Blows (2013). However, it was in 2016 that Song Hye-kyo’s career scaled to new heights.

The actress garnered a huge fan following for her performance in Descendants of the Sun. The South Korean military romance created a global K-Pop phenomenon. Song Hye-kyo starred alongside Song Joong-ki in the K-drama. The handsome actor also returned to television after completing his mandatory military service.

The best part about Song Hye-kyo’s fan meet was when Song Joong-ki, her co-star from Descendants of the Sun, made a surprise entrance. Fans went berserk when the hallyu heartthrob walked to the dais.

Song Joong-ki, who was also dressed in black, received a warm welcome from Song Hye-kyo fans. The actor played the romantic military captain Yoo Shi-jin in Descendants of the Sun, while Song Hye-kyo played the beautiful doctor Kang Mo-yeon. The drama beautifully captured the essence of love, friendship, and patriotism.

There was an extra level of excitement in the auditorium when Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo shared a special moment. Much to the delight of the fans, the “SongSong” couple sang Always, the original soundtrack from Descendants of the Sun.

There was something magical about the couple’s on-screen chemistry. Ever since the pair acted in Descendants of the Sun, fans of both actors wanted them to get together in real life too. On social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, fans have dedicated groups and hashtags to the couple. The hashtag #SongSongCouple has been trending on Twitter and Instagram since February, ever since KBS2 started airing Descendants of the Sun.

Both Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo have constantly denied allegations that they are dating. Fans, however, have not given up on the duo and are hoping that something romantic will happen between the couple.

Fans can’t wait to see actress Song Hye-kyo in her next big role. After Descendants of the Sun, the hallyu star has made it clear that she wants her next role to be more meaningful.

“Regardless of the success of a drama or film, I will be satisfied if viewers say that my acting skills have progressed and gained more depth. I personally think that it is acceptable if I take a step forward and can act with more diverse expressions and feelings. I don’t usually paint a big picture on what I’ll do in the future. One thing that is clear is that I will do my best in the current place where I am at,” Song Hye-kyo said, according to a report by Inquisitr.

Fans and media speculate that Song Hye-kyo would land a larger-than-life role. Rumors are doing the rounds that she will end up in Hollywood.

As for Song Joong-ki, he is currently filming Battleship Island, which is slated for an early release next year.
