Ivana Trump To Become An Ambassador To Czech Republic? Donald Trump’s Ex-Wife Interested In Role

Ivana Trump, Donald Trump’s first ex-wife, is interested in becoming an ambassador to the Czech Republic.

The former Mrs. Trump told the New York Post that she’ll approach the president-elect about pursuing the role. Donald Trump already has his children — Donald Trump, Jr., Eric Trump, Ivanka Trump, and son-in-law, Jared Kushner — hired to work as part of his administration’s transition team.

Ivana Trump feels she’d be a good addition to his administration by serving as an ambassador to her native country.

“I will suggest that I be ambassador for the Czech Republic,” Ivana says.

Ivana cites what makes her uniquely qualified for to be an ambassador to the Czech Republic… soon to be called Czechia.

“[That] is where I’m from and my language and everybody knows me,” Ivana adds.

“I’m quite known all around the world. Not only in America. I have written three books, and they were translated in 40 countries in 25 languages. I’m known by the name Ivana. I really did not need the name Trump.”

Ivana Trump offered some insight into how she thinks her ex-husband will want to live after he’s inaugurated into office. She doesn’t believe he’ll give up the glitzy, cushy life he’s accustomed to at Trump Tower in Manhattan for the White House in Washington, D.C. The 67-year-old former model and socialite knows it’s going to be difficult for New York City residents in the area whenever he’s there to work. Ivana surmises that he’ll be moving to the White House as his “primary” residence. She agrees that the official residence of the U.S. president is a far cry from the trappings of what she and Trump favor.

“To be perfectly honest, I think probably the Trump Tower and my town house in New York is much better than the White House,” she says with a laugh.

“But Donald is very right. He said if a lot of presidents before can live in here, so can [he]… I don’t think he’s going to do gold leafing in the White House.”

Ivana Trump knows the president-elect will have to ride Air Force One instead of his personal Boeing 757 plane worth $100 million. She said he’s “very happy with his own plane” and will still keep it.

As the President of the United States, Donald Trump will be doing a lot of travel, something Ivana says Trump won’t like too much. Ivana compares him to a “good French wine” that doesn’t like “to be moved or traveled.” She said he’s flown more than he ever has the last 18 months, but it was tough. She said as president, it’s going to only get worse in that department.

Ivana says Donald Trump will still vacation at his country club, Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, but not within the first 100 days as serving as president. She said he’ll probably be working day and night and getting very little sleep because he only sleeps three hours a night.

Ivana Trump believes immigrants in the United States are needed, but they should be legal.

“We do need the immigrants. They are fantastic. I actually had an Arabic woman wearing the scarf working for me for five years, and then she moved to Texas,” Ivana shared.

“She was wearing the headscarf and I said, ‘I really don’t care. As long as she’s doing a good job and in the country legally and is paying the taxes and speaks a little bit of the English.'”
