‘Teen Mom’ Jenelle Evans Can’t Catch A Break As She’s Criticized For Dying Hair While Pregnant

It’s just another day in the life of Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans. The 24-year-old has made news yet again for another questionable reason.

Evans came under attack this week for getting her hair done, namely having it dyed, while seven months pregnant with her third child. She shared a photo from the salon on Instagram and the comments immediately began. Yahoo Beauty quoted several social media comments which ranged from “aren’t you supposed to refrain from chemicals during pregnancy?” to “you shouldn’t but it’s not gonna kill you.”

Despite the haters, Jenelle also had plenty of people supporting her choice to visit the salon while pregnant.

“I got my hair done the entire time I was pregnant! It’s perfectly fine! Doing it at home with box dye isn’t the best idea. She’s clearly at a salon.”

It seems there are some mixed feelings when it comes to dying your locks while expecting, but most fans agreed that at-home box dye is the worst. According to the Yahoo article, beauty stylists also weighed in saying professional hair color after the first trimester is perfectly okay as the dye is a lot safer than it used to be. While her fans (and haters) continued to comment on the topic, Jenelle refrained from replying. However, she did retweet the Yahoo article that came to her defense.

The mother of two has been sharing more than just fresh haircut photos on social media as she gears up for the birth of her daughter. Evans posted a selfie on Friday showing off her growing baby bump and compared it to a basketball.

The MTV star and her boyfriend David Eason have picked out the name “Ensley” for their first child together. It will be Jenelle’s third, as she has sons 7-year-old Jace and 2-year-old Kaiser, both from previous relationships. Eason is a father of two as well, with daughter Maryssa and son Kaden from past relationships.

Jenelle has posted several photos showing her sons bonding with stepsister Maryssa. The family took a trip to the pumpkin patch last month in matching plaid shirts.

She and David posed for a quick maternity shoot as the father of her unborn baby used a pumpkin to mock her pregnant belly. Jenelle captioned the photo with a heartfelt shoutout to Eason for being a great dad and boyfriend.

“Every family needs a good father to anchor it. This man has always put our #FamilyFirst since day one. I’m truly blessed and one very lucky woman to call him mine.”

Jenelle has had her fair share of drama when it comes to dating. Her relationship with Andrew Lewis, oldest son Jace’s father, was documented on 16 and Pregnant as it became evident the couple was not going to co-parent. Since then, Andrew has reportedly not played a role in his son’s life since signing over custody to Jenelle’s mother, Barbara.

After her relationship with Andrew ended, Evans went on to date a handful of guys Barbara found issue with as Jenelle continued to get in trouble with the law. When Jenelle began seeing Nathan Griffith, Kaiser’s dad, things still did not settle down for the reality star. The couple had a tumultuous relationship as charges of domestic violence, public intoxication, and burglary seemed to follow them without fail.

Despite her past failed relationships and criminal history, Jenelle’s mom has been quoted as calling Eason “the worst boyfriend she’s ever had,” according to Bustle. The couple announced they’re expecting a baby girl in January with a loving Instagram photo in September. But that hasn’t changed people’s perceptions on the father-to-be.

Eason was arrested this past month for violating a protection order placed by an ex-girlfriend. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail after approaching his son Kaden in public despite the order to stay away. It’s been reported the protection order came after Eason grabbed his ex by the throat and threatened to kill her, according to Radar Online.

It seems Jenelle has a type, and that type is bad boy. While the young mom seems to be happy with her new family, it’ll only be a matter of time before she makes news again for yet another controversial act.
