Tristan Thompson Dumps Khloe Kardashian, Cleveland Cavs Teammates Behind Breakup?
Khloe Kardashian is rumored to have been dumped by her NBA boyfriend Tristan Thompson after his teammates taunts about their once seemingly budding relationship became too much for him to cope with.
Several media outlets have reported that the 25-year-old Thompson abruptly ended things after several of his world-champion Cleveland Cavaliers teammates simply refused to relent in their verbal assaults.
“Everyone was [teasing] Tristan calling him ‘Kardashian’ in the locker room,” said a source described as close to the situation.
All the teasing is said to have finally gotten to Thompson to the point that he recently moved to distance himself from the recently divorced, much older reality TV star.
“It’s messed up,” the source added. “Because I think [Tristan] really cared for that girl.”
While there’s no word on if Thompson’s MVP teammate and face of the franchise LeBron James was among those taunting him, it’s been previously reported that the two recently butted heads about Thompson’s involvement with Lamar Odom’s ex-wife, which reportedly included a request that she not attend the team’s game.
“Tristan isn’t taking any crap from his teammates anymore,” Hollywood Life reported back then. “As far as he’s concerned, Khloe’s coming to every damn game she chooses.”
The reality is Kardashian and Thompson haven’t been publicly seen together much since they put on a for-all-to-see public display of affection at the team’s Halloween party late last month.
All of that came soon after the four-time MVP and three-time champion James publicly declared that he has every hope of building on his legacy to the point of challenging Michael Jordan for the unofficial mantle of greatest ever and didn’t want to have any added distractions.
“LeBron is not going to take any nonsense and if Tristan starts focusing on being on TV and being a celebrity while dating Khloe, then that is where the problems will come,” the source added. “LeBron wants everyone to be ready to repeat as champs and bring another title to Cleveland.”
The so-called “Kardashian Kurse” has officially become legendary. The 32-year-old reality TV star was previously married to Odom, whose career soon thereafter officially flamed out amid widespread rumors of his illicit drug use. Kardashian later went on to date Houston Rockets’ star James Harden, with his team tumbling from a No. 2 to No. 8 seed in the Western Conference playoff landscape during the year they were connected.
Earlier this year, she was romantically linked to New York Giants star Odell Beckham, only to stand by as he was forced to endure one of the worst starts of his otherwise electrifying NFL career.
Thompson and Kardashian publicly began dating just months ago, soon after prompting reports that they were engaged and at least part of their romance might be set to play out before the reality TV news cameras.
Meanwhile, Kardashian recently raved about the state of the couple’s sex life.
“Dating a guy that’s so much younger is never something [Khloe] saw herself doing, but it’s really working for her right now,” added one source. “It’s fun and carefree and [Tristan’s] just so hot; she can’t stop bragging about how amazing their sex life is. She’s been saying he’s the best she’s ever had. She’s in the giddy stage right now.”
Since news of the split has surfaced, the high-profile pair have seemingly done all they could do to control the damage.
Just hours later, Kardashian posted a photo on Instagram of the two together with her dressed in a sexy t-shirt bearing the word “Army” printed across the front.
Us Weekly recently reported the NBA star is rumored to have left his pregnant girlfriend to take up with the reality TV star.
“Tristan told Khloé about the baby,” a source added. “He’s happy about it.”
