Kristen Stewart Leaks Her Most Hated ‘Twilight’ Moments

Even a celebrity as popular as Kristen Stewart admits to having her own cringeworthy moments, and unfortunately for Kristen, many of those moments have been forever immortalized on film or in pictures. She was reminded of this in the most embarrassing of ways when she visited Ellen DeGeneres and came face to face with images from her last appearance on the talk show. DeGeneres reminded Stewart that her last appearance on the show was as a member of the Twilight cast, back in 2011. Stewart confesses that was a period in her life she would rather forget.

Kristen Stewart Feels Shamed By Her Twilight Days

People reveals that Kristen Stewart was more than a little humiliated by the sight of herself as a teen star, when Ellen showed her a picture of herself, along with the rest of the The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 cast, from their 2011 appearance on the talk show. Kristen confessed that looking at the picture made her feel both embarrassed and nostalgic, as though she were looking at a college yearbook photo.

The Twilight star blushed at the sight of her hair extensions, which she now admits were very uncomfortable to wear.

“I don’t jump right back into those memories but as soon as you see pictures, you’re like ‘Oh God, it’s like yesterday,'” said Twilight‘s Stewart.

While starring in the Twilight series was responsible for Kristen’s sudden launch to fame, she says those years represent an awkward period in her life, made that much more confusing by her sudden fame. Ms. Stewart, now 26 years old, says she was just 17 and 18 years old through the filming of the Twilight franchise, and indicates that she was still far too immature to handle that kind of fame into which she was so abruptly launched.

Many have noted that Kristen Stewart has shied away from the big franchises since concluding the Twilight story, but she says that has been an intentional choice on her part. Kristen reveals that she chooses the roles that interest her, whether they’re big blockbusters or small low-budget indie films. Lately, Stewart has been attracted to the latter.

“I’ve been rarely let down by following my gut and being drawn to creative endeavors that feel right without any explanation,” says the former Twilight lead.

Dakota Johnson Can’t Present An Award To Kristen Stewart Without Dropping At Least One F-Bomb

Elle magazine shared the inside scoop on their Women in Hollywood Awards ceremony and, in doing so, revealed that Kristen Stewart was escorted by her new love interest, St. Vincent. While Stewart and St. Vincent are a fairly new item, that didn’t keep the musician from supporting the one time Twilight star, as she was honored with one of Elle‘s awards.

As it turned out, St. Vincent wasn’t the only person in attendance to feel a special affection for Kristen. Presenting her with the award was Dakota Fanning, and as she revealed, she felt a special bond with the Twilight star, recalling the bad times through which Kristen helped her overcome and admitting that she learned to be herself through watching Stewart navigate Hollywood.

It was the closing of Fanning’s sentiments that really drove her love of the Twilight star home, acknowledging Stewart’s fascination for dropping F-bombs and giving greater thanks for being a tremendous inspiration throughout Dakota’s own acting career.

“I can’t present an award to Kristen Stewart and not say ‘f—‘ so, lastly, I love you so f—ing much,” said Ms. Fanning.

“I’ve looked up to you since I was, like, ten… no, you were five? Who knows, maybe I was, like, nine? Oh my God, dude I love you so much,” Fanning again emphasized in speaking of the Twilight actress. “Yeah, anyway. Okay, here we go, sorry that was like a real trip to have that experience in front of so many people, you know.”

In accepting the award, Kristen Stewart said she looked forward to a time when it wouldn’t be necessary to single out women for their filmmaking achievements. Instead of honoring a woman director or a woman producer, Kristen wants to see a director honored, based solely on her skills.

“I would be remiss if I didn’t say how much I look forward to a time…when the question ‘Hey, what’s it like to be a woman in film? What’s it like to be a female director? What’s it like to be a woman in comedy?’ are questions of the past and, unfortunately, as of yet that’s not the world we live in,” remarked the Twilight star.
