Michael Buble Confirms That His Son Noah Has Liver Cancer, Has Started Chemo

Michael Buble and family are sharing additional details of son Noah Buble’s fight against cancer. They are confirming that Noah is suffering from liver cancer, and will receive treatment in the United States. Noah will have chemotherapy for four months, and the Bubles are optimistic about Noah’s recovery.

Last week Michael Buble gave a statement to the public and his fans that he will be canceling dates to spend all of his time with his 3-year-old son Noah while he receives treatment for pediatric cancer, says the Inquisitr. Michael Buble said that they had taken Noah to the doctor in Argentina, as they thought the boy had mumps, but it turned out that Noah’s lymph glands were swollen due to liver cancer.

Michael Buble and his wife, actress Luisiana Lopilato, are accompanying their son Noah to Los Angeles for treatment of his liver cancer, says Daily Mail. Doctors have told Buble that Noah has a 90 percent chance of beating liver cancer. Though Buble and Lopilato said that they were “devastated” by the diagnosis, they are optimistic by the odds the Los Angeles doctors have given Noah.

An Argentine magazine said that after he was seen at a Buenos Aires clinic, he received a liver biopsy to confirm the diagnosis. The family is now in Los Angeles and will be there until the first months of 2017. Luisana’s sister Daniela spoke to the press about her nephew.

“If God wanted it to be discovered that way, it’s because he wants to save Noah. Cancer is a horrible illness but we have faith in Noah being able to overcome this.”

Daniela says that the family has faith that Noah can beat this.

“We know he will. The time to start a long and very difficult treatment has come but it’s got to be done. They say children are normally strong to put up with chemotherapy and my nephew is a warrior.”

Buble and Lopilato have both confirmed they are putting their careers on hold while Noah receives treatment. Luisana was preparing to start filming an English language movie called Numb, At the Edge of the End with Harvey Keitel and Hayden Christensen, according to the Argentine magazine Gente. Lopilato said she took Noah to the clinic in Buenos Aires because he was ill and had a fever.

“She took her son to the Otamendi Miroli Hospital in Buenos Aires because he had a high fever. After an exhaustive examination, they ruled out mumps and suggested two possibilities, a throat infection or mononucleosis. To rule out the second possibility they had to carry out a battery of tests which included an abdominal ultrasound.”

Though Noah had strep throat, the ultrasound detected something in his liver.

“The doctors told Luisana, ‘He has a stain on his liver, but it’s not got different tones and therefore it’s probably benign but we have to continue with the tests.'”

At that time, Michael Buble was working in London, but wanted Luisana to seek a second opinion in Los Angeles.

“We have very good specialists but for personal and family reasons, Michael and my sister decided to fly to the States.”

Michael Buble put out a statement on his Facebook page for his fans.

“We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the US.”

Buble and Lopilato are asking for privacy, and that everyone keep Noah and their family in their thoughts and prayers.
