Synopsis of Every Christmas Has A Story on the Hallmark Channel
Kate Harper, a popular news journalist and reporter, loves her job but dislikes Christmas. And now all of her viewers know it since Kate accidentally spewed off her anti-Christmas sentiments while still live on the air.
In shock, her bosses scurry to smooth over the flub by sending Kate on a Christmas-like retreat that is sure to help her appreciate Christmastime again. Of course, Kate is uncomfortable with the idea, and her anxiety increases after she is commissioned to take the trip with Jack, one of the behind-the-scenes producers at News Today Network’s Morning Show.
Jack is not only Kate’s handsome co-worker, he is an old college flame. What is more, Jack still has great memories of their love affair back in college. To Kate, their past relationship is old news and insists that they must remain professional while on this work-related trip.
The plan is to appeal to Kate’s furious viewers by covering the annual Christmas event in town. While working on the project with Jack, something amazing happens, Kate begins to fall in love with Christmas and her right hand man, Jack.

“Lori’s film projects include the 2009 comedy feature “Old Dogs,” in which Loughlin starred opposite Robin Williams and John Travolta, playing the latter’s love interest. Another recent feature film of Loughlin’s was “Moondance Alexander,” in which she portrayed an eccentric mother whose daughter finds a pony and is determined to win the Bow Valley Classic. Loughlin currently stars in the hit Hallmark Channel Original Primetime Series, “When Calls the Heart,” and has revived her role of Aunt Becky on Netflix’s “Fuller House,” which will release its second season in early 2017.”
Actor Colin Ferguson (via Hallmark Channel)
“Canadian actor, director and producer Colin Ferguson is best known for his starring turn as Sheriff Jack Carter on Syfy’s “Eureka.” He has appeared in over three dozen television series and films, including the American remake of the British hit sitcom “Coupling,” Universal Pictures’ 2007 film “Because I Said So” opposite Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore, Syfy’s “Haven,” TNT’s “Major Crimes,” The CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” and, most recently, “Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove.”
The point of Every Christmas Has A Story is that everyone has some sort of story that they remember about Christmas. Some have negative memories and others have wonderful ones. The goal is to create loving and happy stories that families can share for generations to come.
In an interview with Hallmark Channel, Lori Loughlin said that she enjoyed working with Colin Ferguson and hopes that the fun and great chemistry that they experienced on set will translate to viewers as they view the movie.
For a behind-the-scenes look, Colin Ferguson also shared some of his memories of jolly. One thing that makes him particularly happy about Christmas is seeing the beautiful angels that top the tree. And the tradition of gathering together on Christmas Eve for a special dinner and the opening of gifts is especially charming.
Every Christmas Has A Story is produced by Santa Proof Productions and Brad Krevoy Television. Executive producers, according to the Internet Movie Database, are Jonathan Axelrod, Susie Belzberg, Alan Ett, Eric Jarboe, Brad Krevoy, Lori Loughlin, Amanda Phillips Atkins, and Jimmy Townsend.
