Selena Gomez And Justin Bieber’s Romance Isn’t Over, Despite Her Current Stint In Rehab For Symptoms Of Lupus?

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber’s relationship appears to be never-ending.

Despite the singer’s current stint in rehab, where she’s said to be treating a number of mental health issues, including panic attacks, depression, and anxiety, rumors continue to swirl regarding a potential romance between herself and her ex-boyfriend, who is currently tending to the European leg of his “Purpose World Tour.”

On November 7, after Selena Gomez’s grandfather revealed the singer still loved Bieber, Headlines & Global News suggested that their romance was not over quite yet. According to the report, Bieber learned that he may have had something to do with Selena Gomez’s decision to seek treatment. In an effort to make things right with his former girlfriend, he reportedly paid her a visit in rehab.

The outlet also noted that if Bieber truly did visit Selena Gomez, the gesture may have been a clear sign that he is not over her quite yet.

The report follows an interview with Selena Gomez’s grandfather in which Ricardo Gomez spoke of the singer’s relationship with Bieber and admitted that she still loved him. Speaking to Fabulous, via the Sun, the 61-year-old said Selena Gomez was worried about Bieber before she sought help.

In his statement, Ricardo said that Selena Gomez doesn’t want to be with Bieber because of his recent behavior, which he didn’t specify, but said that he had known Bieber since he started out in the industry and felt his family believed Selena Gomez was a good influence on him.

Selena Gomez revealed she was taking a break from her “Revival World Tour” over the summer, months before the tour was scheduled to conclude in Mexico.

“As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,” Selena Gomez explained to People Magazine in an August 30 statement. “I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges.”

“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues,” she continued.

While Selena Gomez has been targeted with claims of drug use since announcing her time away from the spotlight, the People Magazine source insisted her break was “absolutely not related to alcohol or substance abuse” and was prompted after the 24-year-old singer “hadn’t felt like herself” for the past couple of months.

“[Selena Gomez] decided to clear her calendar for the year in order to have this be her priority for future happiness and didn’t want to leave any promoters at bay,” the source revealed. “She feels relieved that she can now make more sense of why she was feeling the way she was and is optimistic about the future.”

Selena Gomez has not spoken publicly since announcing her tour break months ago, but she has been photographed in Tennessee numerous times since her statement was released. That said, no word has been given as to when Gomez will return to the public eye.
