Don’t Miss ‘The View Live Election Special’ Because You Know It’s Going To Get Heated! Watch On TV Or Streaming Online [Video]
Women from The View have teamed up with Lifetime for a 2016 live election special that will include real-time poll results, reports from Times Square, and in-depth news coverage.
The co-hosts from The View frequently get into heated debates, especially when discussing their “hot topics,” and tonight will be no exception. With both liberal and conservative co-hosts on the panel, anything can happen.
Also of note will be former Disney star and co-host Raven-Symone, who has made her views on a Donald Trump presidency widely known and has vowed to move to Canada should he win the election. She’ll be searching for a tiny house and there will be live, streaming coverage as the nation learns whether Raven-Symone is leaving the country or not.
The View Live Election Special begins at 9 p.m. ET and 6 pm. PT and airs on Lifetime. Check your listings for channel information. You can watch The View Live Election Special on television or streaming online through ABC News and its mobile apps. The View Live Election Special is certain to be contentious and will have some powerful moments as the list of co-hosts and guests are widely diverse. Co-hosts include Joy Behar, Jedediah Bila, Candace Cameron Bure, Sara Haines, and Sunny Hostin. Guests who will participate in hot topics and heated discussions include Miss Universe Alicia Machado, DL Hughley, Vivica A. Fox, Kathy Najimy, Mario Cantone, and Anthony Atamanuik, who is a comedian and Donald Trump impersonator. Kathy Griffin, Will Forte, and Lena Dunham will have special messages for the View Live Election Special event.
Alicia Machado was thrown into the public spotlight as she is the Miss Universe contestant who stated Donald Trump fat-shamed her. To no surprise, Machado voted for Hillary Clinton and posted photos on her Twitter account. It’s likely she won’t have many pleasant things to say about Donald Trump during The View Live Election Special.
Good morning, is our responsibility, go out and vote! #VOTEHILLARY #Vote2016 the world's destiny is in our hands pic.twitter.com/9ttMNznwBA

Vivica A. Fox shared her excitement about being on the live election special tonight with a message on Twitter to fellow guest DL Hughley.

Christian and Conservative actress Candace Cameron Bure co-hosts The View and shared several messages on Twitter. In addition to talking about the long lines at the voting polls, she tweeted a reminder to watch The View Live Election Special tonight. It will be interesting to see how Candace Cameron Bure interacts with her liberal co-hosts on the show.

Lifetime tweeted a video about tonight’s The View Live Election Special with co-host Joy Behar. Joy announced they’ll have plenty of booze while the “nasty women” get down to business. The “nasty women” comment was in reference to disparaging remarks Donald Trump made during the debate. Even though the election special is designed to be a party with food provided by Chef Rocco DiSpirito, we aren’t fooled. We’ve seen the show and know it won’t take long before things get crazy. Most interesting to watch will be how the co-hosts and guests react to the news of the new president-elect. Will it be President Hillary Clinton or President Donald Trump?

Unfortunately, co-host Whoopi Goldberg won’t be at the live election special as she announced she’ll be having her own, crazy party at her house, but Candace Cameron Bure confirmed she plans on drinking alcohol with Joy Behar. There’s no doubt about it — this is going to be good. Will the co-hosts drink in moderation, or will things get crazier as the booze flows?
Tomorrow night!

View co-host Jedediah Bila will also appear on the live election special tonight. She tweeted about her personal voting choices earlier and stated she wrote in a candidate but didn’t mention who it was. Will Candace Cameron Bure and Jedediah Bila team up or will each of the co-hosts put their political differences aside and get along for the viewing audience’s sake?
First time I'm ever writing in a candidate. Because people fought for my right to say no thank you to these awful options too. ??

In addition to the co-hosts and guests, Tom Bergeron, Shiri Appleby and Constance Zimmer will also weigh in on hot-button, election issues

Lifetime is known for being a network geared primarily towards women. In preparation for tonight’s live election special, Lifetime Head of Programming and EVP Liz Gateley released a statement.
“Continuing Lifetime’s legacy and mission to be at the forefront of women’s issues and amplify their voices, we are thrilled to partner with our talented friends at The View on this historic night. Never before have we seen a presidential election cycle so driven by gender, and as a network we are proud to bring diverse perspectives to the national conversation.”
The 2016 election is the most contentious in recent history. One would have to research the history books to determine if Trump vs. Clinton doesn’t win as the most contentious presidential race in all history. Trump’s misogynist and racist comments combined with Hillary Clinton’s WikiLeaks scandal has left much of the nation feeling they were choosing between two unsavory candidates. Does Clinton have an advantage over Trump for being a career politician? Does Trump hold the advantage since his comments were made by someone in the media and not in politics?
No one knows who will win and who will be better for the country. What is known is that the country has become more divisive than any other time in recent history. So many issues are at stake, and the lines of civility between those on opposite political spectrums are not merely crossed, they have become obliterated. Will the co-hosts of The View truly be able to maintain their composure, especially if alcohol is involved?
Republican Ana Navarro appeared on the morning episode of The View and explained why she voted for Clinton. She also discussed the current political climate and said people need to come together.

What do you think about Raven-Symone’s pledge to move to Canada should Donald Trump win the election? Symone announced she’s leaving The View and will be working on a new Disney series: That’s So Raven 2. Will she be filming from Canada?
