Lamar Odom’s Father Takes Aim At Khloe Kardashian, But She’s Focused On Boyfriend Tristan Thompson
Khloe Kardashian may have stuck by Lamar Odom after he suffered a drug overdose at the end of last year, but apparently, that wasn’t good enough for Odom’s father, Joe.
In a new interview, Joe has taken aim at the 32-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, claiming her former husband is better without her.
Speaking to Radar Online on November 8, Joe Odom labeled Khloe Kardashian a “piece of work” after the reality star divorced his former professional athlete son, who allegedly suffered a drug relapse months prior. According to Joe, he recently spoke to his troubled son during an emotional phone call — that didn’t involve Khloe Kardashian at all.
“He didn’t mention [Khloe Kardashian] at all when I spoke to him on the phone,” revealed Joe. “He didn’t mention the divorce. I found out from the news. Lamar can be private like that. When he wants to move on he keeps quiet about it.”

Khloe Kardashian rushed to Lamar Odom’s side in October of last year after he suffered a drug overdose while partying at a brothel in Nevada and continued to support him emotionally and financially for months. Then, earlier this year, as Odom remained living in a home rented for him by Kardashian, it was reported that Odom had returned to drug use and a short time later, Khloe Kardashian filed documents to end their marriage and has since moved on with Tristan Thompson, who plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
“She was a piece of work, man,” Joe complained to Radar Online. “Khloe was no good for him and he’s better off without her! She got my son into a lot of s**t.”
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom were married for four years before their relationship came to an abrupt end due to Odom’s affairs with other women and his alleged drug use. However, according to Odom’s dad, it was the former basketball star’s life and career that went downhill because of Khloe Kardashian. As he suggested, Khloe Kardashian brought unnecessary drama into Lamar Odom’s life.
“His career suffered as a result and he lost some good years,” continued Joe. “He just didn’t need all that. She stopped his job. Times have been tough in the last year and it’s all down to Khloe,” Joe sniped. “I’ve struggled big time and Lamar wasn’t able to help because Khloe controlled all his money.”
In October of last year, as Odom recovered from his drug overdose, Khloe Kardashian was calling the shots when it came to his medical care and ultimately seemed open to a future reconciliation.
“At least that has changed now,” said Joe, adding, “Lamar can get on the good foot now. It’s a shame he has had to go through all that he has just to get to this point.”

Since parting ways with Odom, Khloe Kardashian has been dating Tristan Thompson and spending tons of time with him in Cleveland, where he plays professional basketball.
Although Khloe Kardashian was recently spotted in Los Angeles, X17 Online confirmed on November 7 that she had once again boarded a flight to Cleveland to be with her boyfriend. In photos, Khloe Kardashian was seen sporting a black outfit with a red flannel shirt wrapped around her waist.
