‘Days Of Our Lives’: Marci Miller On Abigail’s Return – Kate Mansi’s Replacement Talks Chad DiMera, ‘Chabby’ On ‘DOOL’ [Spoilers]

Days Of Our Lives fans are finally going to meet Marci Miller, the new Abigail Devereaux DiMera. She replaced Kate Mansi, who left the NBC soap opera last summer. With the new Abby coming to Salem on Thursday, what can fans expect? Miller couldn’t reveal much, but did speak a little bit about Chad DiMera and the couple known as “Chabby.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Marci Miller makes her debut as Abigail Devereaux DiMera on Thursday, November 10. Days Of Our Lives fans are hoping that she can fill Kate Mansi’s shoes, especially when it comes to Abby’s relationship with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). Recently, the actress spoke to Yahoo TV regarding her role as the new Abby.

When Abigail returns to Salem, it will come as a complete shock to everyone. Chad as well as JJ Devereaux (Casey Moss) and Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) truly believed that she was dead. Even though no body was found, Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) made sure everyone believed Abigail died in a plane crash. However, it is not yet known why Andre cared or went to all the trouble to do so. Miller said that Abby actually being alive will be more than shocking.

“They all really think that she’s gone. They’ve gone through the process of finding out, grieving, mourning, and started a path to healing, like anybody does after something like that, and to then be broadsided… ‘Shock’ is definitely an understatement.”

In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, executive producer Ken Corday teased if there is a future for “Chabby.” Even though JJ cheated on Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) and there seems to be some flirting going on between Chad and Gabi, the two couples might work it out. The Days Of Our Lives boss teased that JJ, Gabi, Chad, and Abigail have hurdles to get over. He also hinted that fans should root for JJ and Gabi as well as for Chad and Abigail.

Marci Miller could not reveal any DOOL spoilers, but did give fans a hint of what to expect.

“There’s an amount of pressure, inevitably, in a recast. Initially, I think I was a little bit nervous, and maybe even a touch intimidated, but as I got started, it’s been such a pleasant surprise. The fans have been so warm, and so welcoming, and there’s really been such a positive foundation that’s been laid with the Abigail character, and the relationship between she and Chad. I feel like I hit the jackpot, because it’s deep, it’s complex, it’s fun, it’s heartbreaking … there’s just so much to it, and I’m really grateful to get the opportunity to play with it.”

Other Days Of Our Lives spoilers include Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) being found guilty for killing Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo). She will go to prison, but the actress will still continue to appear on the soap opera. While behind bars, there will be a few familiar faces.

Also, Andre DiMera will get news from Laura Horton (Jamie Lyn Bauer), Theresa Donovan (Jen Lilley) does drugs while Kim (Patsy Pease) tries to convince her daughter to tell Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) the truth.
