Angelina Jolie Gets Custody Of All Her Six Children

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have both agreed to a custody settlement that allows Jolie to have full custody of their six children.

Angelina won full custody of the children, but the agreement also dictates that her former husband and Hollywood star will have “therapeutic visits” with the children. Sources claim that the new agreement has a lot in common with an earlier settlement made toward the end of September. Some of the terms include meetings with therapists and visitation rights for Pitt to see the children.

“We believe that all sides are committed to healing the family and ask for your consideration during this difficult time,” highlighted a statement regarding the matter.

Jolie applied for a divorce from Pitt earlier in September. There were reports that the couple had been going through some issues and the last blow to their marriage came during a fight while the family was on a private jet. The reports also state that Angelina filed for the divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. A statement released on Monday revealed that the two parties reached an agreement about a week ago during a session with childcare professionals.

The statement did not mention whether child welfare workers were involved specifically in the investigation of the incident on the private jet. It also pointed out that no further details would be released regarding the situation.

“In accordance with this agreement, the six children will stay in their mother’s custody, and the children will continue therapeutic visits with their father. This has been determined by childcare professionals to be in the children’s best interest,” the statement revealed.

The representative for Jolie pointed out that the details of the agreement would not be revealed. He also added that it is the hope of the parties involved that the events leading to the divorce also involve the well-being of young children and their well-being. The representative also added that the family matter should thus be treated with the sensitivity it deserves.

A few days ago it was revealed that an investigation had been launched to determine whether the children faced child abuse. The investigation was launched by the Department of Children and Family Services. According to TMZ, the custody agreement might be a temporary and that it is not legally binding. It is also expected to last until the end of the investigations by the DCFS. The department did not provide a timeline, so it is not clear how long the investigation will take.

Pitt’s representative reportedly revealed that Pitt had applied for joint physical and legal custody of the children. A document dated October 15 states that Pitt and Jolie were separating due to irreconcilable differences and that he was seeking joint custody. Jolie filed for divorce on September 19. September 15 was the date that Brad and Angelina officially separated. It also happens to be one day after Pitt was reportedly violent towards his 15-year-old son, Maddox, while he was drunk.

If the investigations turn out in favor of Pitt, the court could end up reverting the decision that Jolie should get full custody so that the final decision will be more lenient towards Pitt. At the moment, sources have revealed that the two are still trying to work out their differences so that they can come up with more level terms.

The romance between Pitt and Angelina started in 2005, and the two were at some point considered the hottest Hollywood couple. The news of their divorce certainly hit the world by storm since they always appeared as the hottest couple. The once majestic relationship has now been reduced to a custody battle with Angelina gaining full custody of the children.
