Caroline Manzo And Danielle Staub React To Teresa Giudice’s Claim Jacqueline Laurita And Caroline Set Her Up

Part 1 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 7 reunion show included a claim so out of the blue that pretty much everyone, including host Andy Cohen, had their mouths open in shock upon hearing it. What was the sensational claim? Teresa Giudice, who spent most of 2015 in federal prison for fraud and whose husband, Joe Giudice, is currently serving out his prison sentence for fraud, accused her co-star and former friend Jacqueline Laurita of being behind the government investigation that ultimately led to her prison sentence. Teresa not only pointed the finger at Jacqueline but also at Caroline Manzo, their former co-star and Jacqueline’s sister-in-law. Teresa said that either Jacqueline tipped off the feds or she did it in conjunction with Caroline.

In an e-mail statement to Bravo’s The Daily Dish on Monday, Caroline made it clear that she wants people to know that Teresa’s claim is nonsense. Caroline thinks it’s such nonsense that she won’t waste her data usage to really address it.

“Thanks for reaching out, but I have no interest in responding to this question as it would be a waste of my unlimited data usage.”

However, another former co-star doesn’t believe that Teresa’s claim that Jacqueline, with or without Caroline, tipped off the feds is so far-fetched. Danielle Staub, who starred on the show alongside Caroline, Jacqueline, and Teresa on its first two seasons, tweeted to Teresa that she’s on the right track regarding Caroline and Jacqueline. As for why Danielle seems to believe Teresa’s claim, Danielle only cryptically said that Caroline and Jacqueline did something to her.

When a viewer accused Danielle of siding with Teresa just because she wants to get back on the show, Danielle tweeted that Teresa contacted her first.

On part 1 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 7 reunion show, Teresa Giudice accused Jacqueline Laurita of hurting her and her family.

“You hurt me. You hurt my family. You should be ashamed of you. I never did anything to hurt you.”

What did Jacqueline do to Teresa? According to Teresa, it was Jacqueline who sold a story to a tabloid about how she was heading to prison. Teresa claimed that Jacqueline sold her out to the tabloid for money, referencing the fact that Jacqueline and her husband, Chris Laurita, went through some tough times financially several years ago.

“You wrote that story about the jail! You needed the money!”

The conversation then turned to their marriages. Teresa criticized Jacqueline for suggesting that she would stay with Joe even if Joe cheated on her. Teresa denied that she would still be with Joe if he cheated on her. Teresa then claimed that Chris cheated on Jacqueline but she still stayed in the marriage, which Jacqueline denied. Teresa tried to bring their co-star Dolores Catania and mutual friend into the argument, claiming that Dolores knows about the cheating as well. When Dolores stayed quiet regarding any cheating by Chris, Teresa claimed that Dolores used to “hate” and “despise” Jacqueline. Dolores denied that she ever said such things to Teresa. Teresa eventually admitted that she never heard such words directly from Dolores but that she heard it from a mutual friend.

At that, Jacqueline smiled and said that it showed Teresa’s habit of lying. Jacqueline referenced the 41 counts of fraud that Teresa pleaded guilty to.

“You went to jail for lying okay? 41 counts of phony, fraud.”

In response, Teresa said that Jacqueline set her up.

“I plead guilty and you set me up.”

Everyone was momentarily stunned into silence. Teresa continued her claim, adding that Jacqueline either worked alone or with Caroline Manzo to tip off the government.

“You set me up. In my gut, either you, or you and Caroline, set me up. You guys were behind everything, calling the government, everything, yes.”

“You seriously think I called the government on you?” Jacqueline asked.

Teresa didn’t back down.

“Yes. I’m so happy I got that off my chest. I believe that. I do believe that. I believe it in my gut. I feel it in my gut. You are gross and you set me up!”

At that, part 1 of the reunion show ended.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Jacqueline posted a series of tweets that criticized Teresa for blaming others for what happened to her instead of taking any personal responsibility. Jacqueline pointed out that she and Teresa were still friends when the government’s investigation began and that Teresa even once blamed her brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Melissa Gorga, of setting her up.

Perhaps Danielle Staub will reveal what she knows about Jacqueline Laurita’s and Caroline Manzo’s possible involvement in the federal government’s investigation against Teresa Giudice on the next season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey? Danielle made it clear on Sunday night that she wants back in. “Let’s hope so,” she responded to a viewer who tweeted about the possibility of Andy announcing Danielle’s return.

Current star Siggy Flicker, who is friends with both Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita, actually weighed in on the subject of Danielle’s possible return. Siggy agreed with a viewer who tweeted that Danielle would “put a few in check” should she return.

It seems that Danielle Staub hasn’t been invited back just yet but she may very well be asked to very soon. On the latest Ask Andy segment, Andy Cohen said that it’s definitely a possibility that Danielle will return to the show.

“I would certainly consider it. We’ve talked about it almost every season.”
