Britney Spears A Meth Addict? Court Battle Starts With Shocking Drug Allegations

Remember Britney Spears’ very public meltdown? The one that involved the singer shaving her head? Well, according to Sam Lutfi’s attorney Joseph Shcleimer, the incident was fueled by the pop star’s meth addiction.

During the first day of the trial, Lutfi’s lawyer made several drug related accusations. Shcleimer claims that Spears was so paranoid of getting drug tested that she shaved her head in order to conceal her drug history.

Schleimer said:

“She liked to use amphetamines — speed or uppers … She liked to take that drug. And most of the things that went wrong were related to that drug.”

People Magazine reports that Lutfi is suing the pop star for the 15% of her earnings that he was allegedly promised when he acted as the singer’s manager for 8 months in 2007. Lutfi is also suing Spear’s mother, Lynne Spears, claiming that her book Through the Storm made him a “scapegoat” for Spears’ drug habit.

Schleimer said:

“My client was made a scapegoat for drug abuse and erratic behavior of Britney Spears.”

Schleimer paints Lufti as a “concerned friend” who did all he could to protect Spears from her drug habit. Before he took the job, according to his lawyer, Lutfi brought several drug sniffing dogs to Spears’ apartment. The dogs found a baggie of white powder that Spears admitted was “crystal meth.” Schleimer also denied the claim made by Lynn Spears in her book that Lutfi tried to put Britney into a “drug induced” coma by crushing pills into her food.

Schleimer said: “He was terrified of being her manager when she overdosed.”

Britney Spears is not expected to appear at the trial but Lynn Spears was in court today.
