Kylie Jenner Is Officially A Pop Star: She’s The ‘Secret’ Lead Singer Of Terror Jr
Kylie Jenner is the lead singer of a band, but the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star was hoping to keep her music career a secret.
Unfortunately for the teen entrepreneur, she has officially been outed as the mysterious lead singer of Terror Jr, a pop trio that performs a song featured in one of Kylie’s lip gloss commercials. The group consists of a female vocalist and two male music producers, Felix Snow and David “Campa” Benjamin Singer-Vine.
According to the Daily Star, a fan discovered that Kylie Jenner is the group’s lead singer by searching the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) database. The ASCAP is a non-profit organization that was set up to help musicians collect royalties whenever their songs are played publicly.
On the ASCAP website, Kylie Jenner is listed as the performer of the Terror Jr tune “3 Strikes.” The songwriters are listed as Felix Snow, David Singer-Vine, and Lisa Vitale.

As Elle reports, Terror Jr has tried to keep its lead singer a secret by giving her the alias Lisa Terror. Some skeptics may think that the true identity of Lisa Terror is actually the aforementioned Lisa Vitale, which does happen to be the name of a “reggae-rocker-turned-soulful pop singer,” according to Popular TV. However, the ASCAP website clearly lists Kylie Jenner as performing “3 Strikes” with the rest of Terror Jr, while Vitale is only given a writing credit.
Terror Jr’s “3 Strikes” is a heavily auto-tuned single performed by a female songstress with a sweet, ethereal voice. It’s featured in “Glosses,” a commercial for Kylie’s lip gloss line. Naturally, the ad stars Kylie Jenner.
Before the Terror Jr ASCAP listing was discovered, other internet sleuths were collecting evidence that Kylie Jenner is group’s secret lead singer. Back in July, V Magazine revealed that “a non-specific ‘Kylie‘ is credited as a ‘creator'” of the Terror Jr song “Come First.” The single features cover art that looks like it was inspired by Kylie’s lip kit logo.
Kylie Jenner and Terror Jr also seem to share an obsession with grapes. Kylie revealed that she’s a massive fan of the fruit in a 2012 tweet, and there are grape emojis and grape references all over the Terror Jr Twitter page.
Kylie is also the only person that Terror Jr follows on Twitter, and she occasionally sports a pink wig that looks very similar to the one Lisa Terror wears in her only Instagram photo.
However, Lisa keeps her face hidden by turning her back to the camera, and her short fingernails aren’t very Kylie-like at all. As fans of the teen beauty icon know, she’s rarely seen without her long, fake nails.
If Kylie Jenner and Lisa Terror are the same person, it’s unclear why Kylie is keeping her budding music career a secret. As Refinery29 reports, Kylie has even claimed that she can’t sing.
“I really would love to be able to sing!!! It’s the one talent I wish I had,” she revealed last month.
However, according to the Washington Post, Kris Jenner has stated that singing is one of her daughter’s many talents.
“She started singing a few notes one day at the house and she sounded amazing. She sounded really amazing,” Kris said during an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians that aired last year.
In 2014, Kylie reportedly began taking singing lessons from Tim Carter, Willow Smith’s vocal coach. Kylie has occasionally shown off her raw vocal talent on social media.
Last June, Kylie Jenner was evasive when Entertainment Tonight asked her if she was interested in pursuing a singing career, and she possibly dropped a hint that she would keep it a secret if she ever did.
“No… I don’t know,” Kylie said. “I like to keep all that to myself.”
Kylie Jenner is probably well aware that everyone thinks that she’s the lead singer of Terror Jr, and she has not responded to the rumors. It’s hard to believe that Kylie would take credit for another woman’s work by allowing her fans to believe that she’s the real Lisa Terror if she is not.
