Yes, The Katy Perry, Perrie Edwards Twin Rumors Are Circulating
Katy Perry is part of another crazy conspiracy theory. Some fans think she’s a doppelganger for Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards. In fact, there are some who believe that Katy Perry and Perrie Edwards could pass for twins with their strikingly similar looks.
Are Katy Perry and Perrie Edwards really separated at birth? That’s what the internet seems to be buzzing about this weekend. There is no doubt that both of these pop singers are drop dead gorgeous with their doe-eyed appearance and full lips. Edwards, 23, and Perry, 32, do look kind of similar, if you post side-by-side close-ups of them. However, it’s unlikely that they are twins since they are not the same age.
It all started when a fan of the Little Mix singer teased other fans on Friday, Nov. 4, when she posted a side-by-side photo of her and Perry. Because of that very photo, as seen below, fans have speculated that the two could be related, as reported via TheWrap.
Edwards wrote a special note to her fans and linked back to a Teen Vogue story that started the conversation.
“Special, Unicorn, Crazy little mix showed me that I need not to be ‘perfect’ to be perfect, if I am who I am it’s already make me the best person I could be. (SIC)”
Although it’s clear that neither of them are the same person, nor twins, fans are still buzzing with the conspiracy theories.
“Katy Perry…Katy Perrie,” one fan wrote.
“If this was the case then their hairline and skin would be the same not to mention the hair color…Now I gat hair dying because I myself save highlights and a tanning salon but the hairlining is just impossible to hide so no they would and are not twins period… (SIC).”
This isn’t the first time that Katy Perry has been the center of conspiracy theories. Earlier this year, the internet was wondering if Perry was really JonBenet Ramsey. They believe that the “Rise” singer is actually the late pageant princess and they have been trying hard to convince the rest of the world, according to a report via Us Weekly.
In a video that resurfaced on YouTube from December, 2014, the voice of Dave Johnson claims that the 1996 Ramsey murder case was a hoax and that Perry is actually the little beauty queen, who shot to fame as a pop princess.
“All of these people are liars, man,” Johnson said. “Nobody died, nobody got hurt. That sacrifice was in name only, and that was to get something, and that something was to become a star. JonBenet became Katy Perry, and that’s a fact.”

YouTube then tried to back up his claim with facts, including that JonBenet’s parents, John and Pasty, looked strikingly similar to Perry’s own parents, pastors Keith Hudson and Mary Perry. Patsy died back in June, 2006, from ovarian cancer. John has since remarried, to fashion designer Rousseaux in 2011.
In addition, another conspiracy theorist who goes by the YouTube handle “Jungle Surfer” also believes that Perry and JonBenet look alike, right down to their light-colored eyes and eyebrows.
“You know, the eyebrows don’t change much on a person,” he said over his own video backing up his claim. “You’re born with your eyebrows. They’re very close, very close indeed, aren’t they? … As you know, this whole entertainment industry is just a charade – you really don’t know the truth.”

However, Katy Perry was born as Katy Hudson long before she became the California girl that we know and love today. Perry has not responded to any of these conspiracy theories.
