WWE Rumors: Chris Jericho And Sin Cara Get Into Backstage Fight During Overseas Tour

Pro wrestling matches might not be real, but the fights backstage sometimes are. While working an overseas tour, Chris Jericho and Sin Cara got into an altercation backstage, as reported by 411 Mania.

Both performers have a history of being involved in incidents that have taken place backstage.

A couple of months ago, Sin Cara was involved in a fight with Simon Gotch. There were rumors that Gotch did something to upset Sin Cara to the point where the masked performer hurled an unopened can of soda towards the face of the Vaudevillains team member. The belief was that Gotch was in the wrong during that situation as WWE took him off the road. Sin Cara, on the other hand, continued to work house shows after the incident.

Simon Gotch has a reputation within WWE as someone that gets himself in trouble with some of the things that he says backstage. That is one of the big reasons why the Vaudevillains have not received a big push in the tag team division.

Unlike Simon Gotch, Chris Jericho is a well respected veteran backstage. Getting into a fight with Jericho is much different than getting into a fight with Gotch. The majority of fans are going to side with Jericho. There is also going to be a good amount of people backstage in WWE that do the same as well.

Chris Jericho was involved in a backstage incident with Brock Lesnar, a performer who is viewed as a huge money maker for WWE. Reports stated that Jericho was upset because he was concerned about the wellbeing of Randy Orton, who worked the main event against Lesnar. Upon returning backstage, Lesnar was under the assumption that Jericho was insulting him. The two of them had to be separated by several people.

To show how much power he has backstage, Chris Jericho managed to go through that incident without being admonished by management. He was not suspended, and he was not taken off of television.

Word coming out of backstage is that Chris Jericho won the fight against Sin Cara. That is not entirely surprising. While Sin Cara is a legitimate tough guy in real life, so is Jericho. The first Undisputed Heavyweight Champion in WWE was once involved in a backstage fight with Goldberg when the two of them were working together in WCW. Jericho reportedly won that real life battle as well.

All eyes will now be on potential discipline for Chris Jericho and Sin Cara.

First of all, the odds of Chris Jericho being sent back home to the United States seem very minimal. Management knows that he is one of the bigger draws in WWE. A lot of their fans in Europe paid good money to see Jericho doing what he does best. If Jericho was really the one that instigated the fight, then a punishment could take place once the tour is completed. Even then, the odds of that happening are not all that high.

If it is revealed that Sin Cara was the one that started the backstage situation, then he more than likely will be sent home. His merchandise reportedly sells well, but he is not big enough of a draw for the incident to be overlooked. Management might need to set an example to let other WWE performers know that they will not tolerate behavior like that.

For what it is worth, Chris Jericho took to Twitter earlier on Sunday to mention that security in Leeds would not let him into the arena because they did not recognize him. The fact that Jericho is joking around means that the situation might not be all that serious.
