‘Booty Call’ Ends In Death Of Toddler, Girl Drowns In Tub As Mother Has Sex In Other Room
A “booty call” resulted in the death of a toddler after the mother left three children unattended in the bathtub. The youngest drowned as the mother participated in a sexual encounter in another room.
Amanda Ann Clark, 26, left her three small children alone in the bathtub as she responded to a booty call. As she participated in a sexual encounter in another room, 1-year-old Alexandria Clark drowned in the tub.
Alexandria would have been two-years-old on the following Friday.
According to the Wise County Sheriff’s Department, Clark was charged with abandonment, endangering a child, imminent danger of a child, and bodily injury. The incident occurred on October 23.
Bond was set at $100,000 by the judge.
The incident occurred on a Sunday and Clark turned herself into authorities on Tuesday.
According to WFAA ABC Channel 8, Clark’s oldest daughter, 6, went to the bedroom and interrupted her mother’s sexual interaction to warn that Alexandria had stopped breathing.
Clark rushed to the bathroom and found Alexandria non-responsive in the tub.
According to neighbors, Clark was screaming hysterically as she yelled for help, hoping someone would arrive and revive her daughter.
Sheriff Lane Akin arrived on the scene, according to Metro. He could not believe the scene, claiming that it was like nothing he had encountered before.
“This is the first time I’ve come across something like this.”
Akin stated that the three girls in the tub were ages one, three, and six. According to the oldest child, the 3-year-old pushed Alexandria under the water, where she drowned.
Akin does not put any blame on the 3-year-old, claiming she is too young to understand what happened.
“Of course, the three-year-old didn’t have a clue about what that was all about, what the implications of that might be.”
Investigators focused on the “booty call,” placing the blame on Ms. Clark and her lack of supervision, resulting in the death of Alexandria.
In addition, investigators questioned the male that initiated the “booty call” to determine his participation in the death.
According to the male, the three girls were playing in the living room when he arrived at Clark’s home. In the affidavit, the man stated that Clark gathered the girls and put them in the bathtub while he went to the bedroom. A short time later, Clark arrived in the bedroom, and the sexual encounter began. A short time later, the exact time is unknown, the oldest daughter entered the bedroom and proclaimed that Alexandria was not breathing.
The affidavit went on to state that Clark rushed into the bathroom and pulled Alexandria from the tub, attempting CPR as she screamed for help.
A neighbor of Clark’s shared that she loved her children with all her heart and would never suspect that Clark would have harmed the kids on purpose.
“She was screaming, hollering. ‘Help me. Help me.’ She loved those kids.”
Clark has not been approached for comment at this time. The male party is not expected to be charged in the incident.

Clark’s charges will result in felony jail time if convicted. It has not been revealed if her children were removed from her custody into the state’s custody, or if they are residing with a family member at this time.
Clark does not have a history of child abuse or neglect. It is unknown if she has placed her children in the bathtub in prior instances, or if she has left her three children unattended during other booty calls.
