Chidinma Okeke Missing? After Reports That Miss Anambra 2015 Disappeared And Could Be Dead Amid Sex Tape Scandal, Her Father Speaks Out

Chidinma Okeke was reportedly missing — and possibly dead — in the wake of the sex tape scandal that has rocked her career, but now the father of the dethroned Miss Anambra 2015 winner is speaking out about the reports.

Okeke has been embroiled in scandal for the past month after the release of a sex tape that appeared to show her in a racy scene with another woman. Okeke initially denied that it was her, but a subsequent video leaked to the internet appeared to show her more clearly.

In the weeks since then, the 20-year-old Okeke has seen her pageant crown stripped and has claimed that she is a victim of blackmail that includes threats against her life.

And this weekend, the Chidinma Okeke sex tape scandal took yet another turn with reports that the Miss Anambra had gone missing. News reports cited her father, Jerry Okeke, as saying that he did not know where his daughter had gone and that she might be dead.

But now he is clearing up those reports, saying that Chidinma Okeke had never been missing.

“My daughter is not missing and at no time did I declare her missing,” Jerry Okeke told the Premium Times.

Jerry Okeke said the rumor about Chidinma’s disappearance came from an interview he gave to The Sun. In that interview, Okeke declared that his daughter may be dead, implying that he did not know where she might be.

“As it stands now, my daughter is still a small girl. I don’t know whether she is still alive or dead. But all I know is that God will prove Himself worthy to fight His children’s battle. I don’t have much to say for now,” the paper quoted Jerry Okeke as saying.

Bruce Malogo, the paper’s editor, told the Premium Times that he believes it was accurate to report that Chidinma Okeke was missing given her father’s quote.

“In interpretative journalism, we’re not wrong with our headline,” Malogo said. “If he told us that he couldn’t find his daughter and we say he declared her missing, we’re not wrong.”

While she may not be missing, Chidinma Okeke has been quiet in recent days regarding her sex tape scandal. The pageant winner had called a press conference scheduled for late last month, but canceled it when she said she received death threats.

Nigerian news outlets have reported that Okeke is the victim of a blackmail scheme regarding the sex tape, and that a third video that is both longer and more explicit than the first two could be leaked to the internet.

But Jerry Okeke said the scandal has been devastating to his daughter. He said family members had to move quickly to prevent Chidinma Okeke from committing suicide, and there could still be more trouble ahead.

The committee overseeing the the Miss Anambra pageant has publicly called for Chidinma Okeke to be arrested and charged with Nigeria’s crimes against lesbianism, Pulse reported.

“If Nigeria Police were really interested in this case, the actual culprit who is Chidinma Okeke should be looked for,” said the association’s secretary general, Alex Nwankwo. “There is no ignorance in law. Besides, it is a federal case which attracts 14 years in imprisonment.”

“We believe if there ?is a petition against Chidinma Okeke on this banned federal offence of Lesbianism on the table of Nigeria police, they would have commenced hunting for her arrest.”

Jerry Okeke has also hinted at more criminal acts, including whether Chidinma may have been drugged prior to the filming of the sex tape.

It it not clear if police are investigating Chidinma Okeke for her sex tape scandal or whether they have a lead on her potential blackmailer or blackmailers.
