World War 3 Fear: U.S. Set To Deploy 6,000 Soldiers With Heavy Armour Near Russian Border In Eastern Europe

Things haven’t exactly been okay between Russia and the United States ever since the former out-muscled the latter from Syria. The two superpowers suspended their talks last month following their disagreement over the Russian military’s intervention in Syria. Ever since, a looming threat of a third world war has been haunting us, as each of the two countries continue to try and make their presence felt to the other.

In its latest act, the U.S. is set to deploy over 6,000 soldiers to be stationed along the NATO frontier in Eastern Europe. Pentagon military bosses believe that their added presence in the Baltic States will help them counter an increasingly assertive Russia.

The U.S.’s decision to increase its military presence in Eastern Europe follows the decision of other NATO nations, including Great Britain. It was reported last month that Britain would be deploying more soldiers to the Baltic State amid fears of a Russian Invasion. NATO had announced in July that it would deploy, on a rotational basis, four multinational battalions to Poland and the Baltic states in order to challenge possible Russian incursions.

The United States is set to send a massive amount of military gear along with its 6,000 soldiers to the Baltic in the spring of 2017. According to U.S. military officials, the presence of U.S. troops in Operation Atlantic Resolve would help reassure their allies in Europe against possible Russian incursions. The U.S. aims to build its “armored presence” in Eastern Europe as it plans to deploy the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team and the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade in European nations including Germany, Romania, Latvia, Bulgaria and Estonia.

Among the heavy machines that the U.S. plans to ship to Europe, there are the UH-60 Blackhawk choppers, the M2 Bradley counter infantry vehicles, the M1 Abrams tanks and the M109 Paladin howitzers. These are only some of the machines that will be deployed to try and stare down Putin. The commander of the 3rd Armored Brigade, Colonel Christopher R. Norrie, was asked to comment on the decision of the U.S. increasing its military presence in Eastern Europe.

“I am confident we are the right heavy brigade to continue the armored presence in Europe.

“Living and training alongside our NATO allies and partners on a daily basis will provide ample opportunities to build a comprehensive team that strengthens defensive capabilities and deters aggression in Europe.”

Severe tensions have been developing between the United States and Russia over the Russian military’s intervention in Syria. Experts in the West have previously warned that Russia could declare war “overnight” and that their military is well trained and stationed to launch assaults in a matter of hours. Russian officials, on the other hand, had announced that they had foreseen a war with the U.S. right after the two nations break off their faltering talks over the Syrian conflict. After the talks were officially suspended earlier in October, Russia has been involved in several high-level military activities such as a massive nuclear warfare preparation drill for its citizens, moving nuclear-capable missiles near its Polish border, unveiling pictures of their new super-nuke, the Satan 2, conducting military exercises in the Nordic region and in former Soviet Union member Estonia, etc.

In a rare interview from earlier in October, former Soviet statesman Mikhail Gorbachev had spoken about the rising tensions between the two superpowers of the world.

“I think the world has reached a dangerous point. I don’t want to give any concrete prescriptions but I do want to say that this needs to stop. We need to renew dialogue. Stopping it was the biggest mistake.”
