Paul Haggis’ ‘Third Person’ Adds Adrien Brody And Mario Bello As Shooting In Rome Begins

Looks like Paul Haggis may have something special on his hands if the latest cast additions to his ensemble film Third Person is evidence enough. The film will be another ensemble for the Academy Award winning Paul Haggis, who won the award for his 2004 film Crash. However, this time it will focus on the romantic trysts of three couples set in Rome, New York, and Paris.

Haggis’ Third Person is set to star talents like Liam Neeson, James Franco, Mila Kunis, Moran Atia, Olivia Wilde, Kim Bassinger, and Casey Affleck, who hasn’t yet been confirmed for the film. Now it’s being said that Adrien Brody and Maria Bello are also being added on. Even though it hasn’t been revealed what Bello’s role will be in the lives of the three main couples, a guess could be that she’s a supporting role to one of the couples. It’s been said that Academy Award winner Brody will fall in love with Moran Attia’s character, who’s rumored to be paired up with Casey Affleck.

From an earlier description of Third Person, it’s believed each relationship is viewed independently from one another, with one relationship marking the beginning of love, the other marking the journey of love, and the last couple is said to be on the verge of a divorce. The latter couple is rumored to be the pairing of James Franco and Mila Kunis, who will begin filming in Rome shortly even though their scenes are said to be set in New York.

There’s not a lot of details that Haggis gave up about the characters, but we do know the whole film is expected to be shot in Rome with the New York and Paris segments faked. It’s said that Neeson’s character is a journalist, Kunis’ character is an ex soap opera actress, Franco’s an artist, and Wilde, who will be playing Neeson’s love interest, is a gossip columnist.

Do you think this film will hit the award circuit?
