Jessa Duggar Seewald’s Husband Calls Her Names For Her Birthday, Jinger Duggar’s Wedding Overshadows Special Day

Jessa Duggar Seewald’s husband, Ben Seewald, decided to mark her 24th birthday by calling her names. However, the labels he listed to describe his wife were meant to put a smile on her face, not put her down.

As People reports, Jessa Duggar’s family members celebrated her November 4 birthday just like they celebrate every special occasion — they took to social media to publicly share their well wishes with their adoring fans.

Over on the Duggar Family Official Facebook page, Jessa’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, praised “Jessa Blessa” for being “a fun loving, responsible, mature, visionary, virtuous wife and mother.” The couple also let their third-oldest daughter know that they really admire her fashion sense.

“You have inspired thousands of young ladies to seek God, to wait for the one God has for them, and set an example how to dress modern, but modest,” the Counting On stars wrote.

The only other Duggar daughter on social media, Jill Duggar Dillard, acknowledged her younger sister’s birthday with an Instagram post.

However, Jessa Duggar’s husband won the battle to see which family member could share the best birthday wishes by penning an 189-word blog post about his “Dearest Jessa.”

“It’s your birthday, so I thought I’d take this opportunity to call you some names,” Ben wrote on the Seewald Family Blog.

In addition to the aforementioned “Jessa Blessa,” the “names” Ben listed included “Mother,” “Beautiful,” “Amazing,” “Beloved,” and “Bride.”

“I could call you ‘wife’ but ‘bride’ carries more of the romantic sentiment of the wedding day. Because I want the young love to continue and remember the vows we made to each other, I’ll call you ‘Bride’…’MY Bride!'” Ben wrote.

Perhaps Ben was trying to cheer his bride up because she’s a bit down that another Duggar bride — or rather, a Duggar bride-to-be — is going to steal the spotlight from her during a week that was supposed to be all about her and her family. As the International Business Times reports, Jinger Duggar’s wedding will take place sometime today, so Jessa likely spent most of her birthday helping her younger sister and the rest of the family prepare for the big event. Jinger’s wedding will also interfere with the first birthday celebration of Jessa and Ben’s son, Spurgeon Elliot Seewald. The tot will spend his November 5 birthday in an uncomfortable tiny tux at Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo’s wedding.

Jessa and Spurgeon’s birthdays weren’t the only big events that the Seewalds celebrated during the first few days of November. As In Touch Weekly reports, Jessa and Ben marked their second wedding anniversary on November 1.

In honor of the romantic occasion, the couple decided to share their love with their fans. In a YouTube video, Jessa and Ben reminisced about their “frigid” wedding day. They revealed that they were both suffering from colds at the time the video was filmed, but being sick didn’t stop them from ending it with an awkward kiss.

Even though Jinger Duggar’s wedding has interfered with all of Jessa Duggar’s early November celebrations of her own big life events, she’s probably not too upset with her younger sister for choosing November 5 as her wedding date. As SheKnows reports, Jessa says that she has a very strong bond with Jinger.

“I’m really close to all of my sisters, but especially to Jinger. We’ve just always been best of friends,” Jessa said during a 2015 episode of 19 Kids and Counting.

Jessa is also Jinger’s favorite sister. According to the bride-to-be, she and her older sibling get along so well because Jessa is a leader and she is a follower.

“Jessa’s more of like a leader, and I don’t like to be the one in charge with everything on my plate. I kinda just like to follow people.”

As People reports, Jinger did a lot of crying at Jessa Duggar’s 2014 wedding. Fans will have to wait until Season 3 of Counting On airs next year to see if Jessa gets just as emotional during her younger sister’s ceremony.
