American Horror Story is coming up on its penultimate Episode 9 for Roanoke, bringing unknown characters to full circle with the onset of the real blood moon. This is the episode where all of the summer-long secrets finally start to make their way to the screen on Season 6 of American Horror Story.
It is safe to assume at this point that no one is safe on American Horror Story: Roanoke. The surprise revelations from previous episodes have been the first indicator that even the most beloved stars of the American Horror Story franchise can die with only a moment of screen time and there is no room for doubt.

This is the part of the article where we need to warn you that there are some major spoilers for Episodes 8 and 9 coming up. If you have not seen the previous episode of American Horror Story, or do not want spoilers for the next episode, then you should only proceed with that caution in mind.
First of all, the body count has risen dramatically over the last few episodes. When American Horror Story made the transition on Episode 6 to Return to Roanoke: Three Days In Hell, the real characters came out and it was no longer a docu-drama. That meant pitting the real Matt and Shelby in the same house with Audrey (Shelby), Rory (Edward Mott), and Dominic (Matt). Of course Angela Basset and Kathy Bates came back to be a part of the reality event.

So now that we have seen what can happen to the people and actors on American Horror Story: Roanoke, fans are left to question whether or not they will be returning as ghosts and how soon they may come back. As of right now, we have the potential to see Rory, Agnes, Matt, Shelby, Sidney, and Dominic come back to either haunt or help Audrey, Monet, and Lee. There is also that surprise addition of Wes Bentley showing up at the front door on the last episode of American Horror Story.
But the real story that is coming up on Episode 9 of American Horror Story, as reported by Vanity Fair, is the entrance of what appears to be Taissa Farmiga and the dual role that Sarah Paulson will be playing as both Audrey and Lana Winters (American Horror Story: Asylum). Will this be the time when the actress portrays two different roles in the same scene? Well, that’s not likely. But it will be interesting to know if Audrey is still alive when Lana Winters shows up on American Horror Story: Roanoke.

Fans of American Horror Story have gotten used to the “found footage” theme for the season. It is supposed to be a homage to films like The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity. But is American Horror Story taking the homage one step further and incorporating the Blair Witch into the story as well?
As evidenced by the trailer for Episode 9 of American Horror Story, that could indeed be the case. The newfound footage seems to show that some hikers are taking a trip of their own and have been caught up in some of the more nefarious aspects of the haunted woods. It is very possible that the Butcher has already killed them and the characters from American Horror Story: Roanoke have found the footage. That is what appears to be the grand debut of Taissa Farmiga into the American Horror Story: Roanoke season as well. She seems to be one of the hikers in the video.
Either way, the penultimate Episode 9 of American Horror Story will be returning to FX next Wednesday to close the loose ends still open in the Roanoke story. There could also be some clues as to what will happen with Season 7 of American Horror Story, which has been rumored to be back on the air as early as next spring on FX.
