Loot Galore At ‘Destiny’ Iron Banner Event Next Week, Sequel Still Strong For Next Year

Are you ready for exciting new gear at the Destiny Iron Banner event next week? If you are, then hold on to your horses because Control is coming to town.

As Destiny players bid goodbye to Festival of the Lost, we say hello to a refreshing new loot party. Iron Banner is here again, and Destiny players will be excited to know that next week’s Iron Banner event will feature Control, GameSpot reports.

If you’re getting ready to flex some muscles and score some gear, then take note that this monthly crucible event for Destiny: Rise of Iron will be going live on November 8 at 10 a.m. Destiny players will have until November 15 at 1 a.m. to collect all of the exciting new gear.

Cozmo talks about the upcoming Iron Banner event on the Destiny blog.

“Cozmo here again. Don’t worry, DeeJ is back in action, but I stole the TWAB reins from him again for an unprecedented two week period. We will see if he can regain control of this zone next week.

“Saladin didn’t exit stage right after the last Iron Banner. He decided to stick around his new residence on Felwinter Peak. It’s nice having him around, but we have heard your inquires on when the Iron Banner would alight again. Since Saladin has turned his attention to more pressing threats, Efrideet will be the one sending you out to the great tournament to seek victory, glory, and some Legendary gear. You can find her on Felwinter when she returns on Tuesday to kick things off.”

Look for Lady Efrideet hiding the Bounties at the mountain in next week’s Iron Banner event and get a chance to take home Pulse Rifles, Machine Guns, Hunter Armor, Titan Armor, and Warlock Armor. Game Rant reports that this week’s Iron Banner gear will include the Clever Dragon rifle and the Silvered Dread heavy machine gun, gauntlets, and boots.

The Clever Dragon, “forged in honor of Timur, whose spells cut deeper than any sword,” is one of the favorite items in next week’s Destiny: Rise of Iron event. It is only obtainable from the monthly Crucible events and is seen to be very close to the Grasp of Malok, one of the best PvP weapons in Destiny. If you’re thinking where to spend those extra hours of gaming next week, better spend it grinding on Destiny‘s Iron Banner event to get your hands on the Clever Dragon.

Moving forward, at an earlier earnings call, Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg shared some new insight on Destiny 2,GameSpot reports. Destiny 2 is still confirmed for 2017, with no official release date yet, but it is being worked to appeal to a broader spectrum of players. Bungie is targeting to bring “millions” of players to Destiny.

Hirschberg explained, “We’re on track and really excited for what we think is going to be an awesome sequel for Destiny in 2017. That sequel is designed to both excite our highly engaged current players but also to broaden the appeal even further, bringing in new fans and bringing back lapsed fans.”

With multiple sequels for Destiny already laid out in the contract between Bungie and Activision, we are expecting more and better Destiny content in the coming years, possibly on PC as well.

“In the past, I’ve mentioned that the incredible demand for Destiny content has somewhat outpaced our ability to deliver upon that demand. Going forward, along with our partners at Bungie, we’ve put together what we believe is a very smart approach that will allow us to deliver that steady stream of great content to keep our players engaged and keep the universe alive and growing in the wake of that sequel.”

Destiny: Rise of Iron is the latest expansion for Destiny, which was released on September 20, 2016. As of August 2016, events for Destiny: Rise of Iron, such as the Iron Banner event, will only be supported on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
