Is Selena Gomez Desperate To Leave Rehab After Canceling Her ‘Revival World Tour’?

Selena Gomez canceled her Revival World Tour at the end of August, and now, just a couple of months later, rumors are swirling which claim the singer is miserable in rehab as she continues to treat symptoms of Lupus.

After revealing to fans that she was suffering from anxiety, depression and panic attacks, Selena Gomez took a step away from the spotlight and reportedly entered a treatment center in Tennessee, where she’s been ever since.

At the time of Selena Gomez’s announcement to People Magazine, the 24-year-old was about halfway through her Revival World Tour, which kicked off in Las Vegas in May and was expected to continue through December, when she would wrap up the tour with a series of shows in Mexico.

“As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,” Selena Gomez explained in her statement. “I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges.”

“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off,” she continued. “Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues.”

Weeks after Selena Gomez’s statement was released, a source told Us Weekly that the singer had checked into a rehab facility outside of Nashville, Tennessee. According to the report, the facility was private and quiet but also described as super intense.

Speaking to the magazine, an insider claimed Selena Gomez had traveled to the rehab center to get her mental health on track. In addition to the struggles mentioned in Gomez’s statement, the source claimed the singer could go to a very “dark” place. The source also revealed that Gomez hadn’t yet returned to the studio to create more music and noted that it was unclear when she would do so.

After entering treatment, Selena Gomez was seen in the area of the facility, once with her mother and stepfather and another time with her grandparents. As Us Weekly magazine revealed, Selena Gomez visited a Texas Roadhouse restaurant in early October for a meal with her mom and stepfather before visiting a second restaurant the following morning with her grandparents.

During both outings, Selena Gomez was said to be in good spirits, but according to a Headlines & Global News report on November 2, the singer isn’t doing well in treatment. As the outlet revealed, Selena Gomez’s friends and family had grown concerned about her mental health after learning that she was “miserable” and feeling “like hell” at the facility.

“She absolutely hates it there,” a source told the magazine. “Everyone is worried… Everyone’s just hoping Selena gets better.”

Since announcing the end of her Revival World Tour, Selena Gomez has been completely silent on social media, and while there have been claims of her possible exit from rehab, the singer has not yet been spotted back home in Los Angeles or in Texas, where members of her family reside.
