WWE News: Ric Flair Reveals Changes Were Made To Sasha Banks/Charlotte HIAC Match

Hell in a Cell was arguably the most overrated pay-per-view the WWE put on in 2016. It was marketed as a triple main event with all three of those matches being inside a Hell in a Cell. Rusev and Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins, as well as Charlotte and Sasha Banks, held those responsibilities tightly. It was an argument all week from the WWE Universe as far as who the last match of the night would be. Due to the WWE stars inside the match, it was an indictment on Owens that the women capped off the evening.
Reason being, if John Cena, Triple H, Brock Lesnar or the Rock were WWE Universal champions, the women would not have been on last at Hell in a Cell. Instead, Owens and Rollins weren’t generating enough interest, so Triple H and Vince McMahon went with Charlotte and Banks instead. To make things even clearer, there was no triple main event. There was only one main event, and that was the Raw Women’s championship.
